KAMEL !!! - Very worth it for all the activities you do. Our guide Mohamed Ait Ouaghlad was amazing and very funny. It mit be a little bit strange to entry inside the intimacy of the local people. But the last activities with the camel was so incredible, really.

Dessert is so big - I had a wonderful experience with our driver. He was extremely professional, punctual, and very friendly throughout the trip. The car was clean and comfortable, and he drove with great care and attention to safety. He was also very knowledgeable about the route and shared interesting insights along the way, which made the journey enjoyable. He patiently answered our questions, gave us plenty of time for stops, and always greeted us with a smile. I truly appreciated his kindness and reliability, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for excellent service.

A special experience in the desert - I was worried about being a one-woman participant, but Ali, the tour guide, was always attentive and very kind to the other tour participants, so I could enjoy it with peace of mind. The desert heat at the end of August was unsettling, but it was not unbearable to ride a camel as it was near sunset. We spent a lot of time walking through the mighty It-Ben-Hadou and Todra valleys, peering into their lives in Berber villages, riding camels and buggies in the desert landscape (buggies were extra), playing on sandboards with tour participants from other countries, and lying on the sand and stargazing. Thank you to our guide Ali, our driver and Morocco Global Tours for providing such an amazing tour!

Desert tours in Merzouga - Excellent driver, safe driving, comfortable trip, even if long. Comfortable car. Mohammed, as well as a great driver, is also very nice. He told us about the places we visited and crossed. The desert is an unmissable experience if you come here: the camel crossing, plowing dunes on the quad, sunset and sunrise, stars, dunes,... On the kitchen level there is work to be done...

A memorable desert journey and a must do! - Desert Tour from Marrakesh to Fes – A Memorable Journey with Highs (and a Few Bumps). Our desert tour from Marrakesh to Fes had several brilliant moments that made it a truly unforgettable experience. Highlights: Ait Ben Haddou: This UNESCO World Heritage site was a standout. The climb to the top was a bit of a workout, but the sweeping views made it totally worth it. Our Guide, Mohammed: was fantastic—switching effortlessly between English and Spanish, keeping the group laughing, and staying connected via WhatsApp with updates and info. We really appreciated his energy and communication. The tour company, Morocco Global Adventures were good to keep on top of communication with us too. Tinghir Hotel: While the hotel felt like a once-grand resort from the 70s or 80s now in need of some TLC—especially in terms of safety upgrades and bathroom ventilation—the real gem was the sunrise view from the restaurant. That early morning panorama made up for a lot. Meals were simple, with classic tagines, skewered meats, and basic breakfasts. Merzouga Desert Day: This day was packed with rich experiences—from a peaceful guided walk through olive groves and the Todra Gorge to visiting a Berber village. Learning about traditional rug-making techniques and the government-supported co-op gave us insight into local life. There was no pressure to buy, just an authentic sharing of Berber culture. Camel Trek and Desert Camp: The camel ride into the dunes was a unique highlight, and my family really enjoyed it. We chose the upgraded tent with a private bathroom—highly recommend doing the same. Sandboarding was laid-back and casual, with limited boards but a great sense of community as people shared. The night under the clear, star-filled sky in the windy desert was truly magical. Things to Consider: There were many tourist-oriented stops at crowded cafés along the way, which felt a bit repetitive and at times rushed due to the crowds. Day three—traveling to Fes—was long and tiring although the scenery was breathtaking and one stop at a roadside cafe had baby camels which we got to pet . Eleven hours in a cramped van with a barely functioning AC and fewer breaks made it the least enjoyable leg of the journey. If I could do it again, I’d opt for a four-day trek with more rest stops to break up the drive . Final Thoughts: Despite a few minor setbacks, this tour was a fantastic experience overall. It offered a wonderful mix of history, culture, adventure, and natural beauty. Meeting fellow travelers added to the fun, and if you’re visiting Morocco, this journey should absolutely be on your list.
