Fantastic trip to Sahara - We booked a 4 day private tour Marrakech to Merzouga with luxury camp. It was a fantastic trip. We were a group of 6 with two children under 10. Hassan our guide was brilliant, and gave us lots of options which was great as we had two young children.
Day 1 we changed the itinerary slightly and visited the Atlas film studios which was great. We also stopped at some nice viewpoints along the way. Our Hotel was basic but nice, right next to the river.
Day 2 we drove to the Sahara with a lovely stop on the way at the gorge and Berber pizza for lunch. We also stopped to see the old irrigation system which was really interesting. The Camel ride, sandboarding and luxury camp was definitely a highlight. The tents were really nice with private shower and toilet.
Day 3 we visited a kasber which was fascinating and next to an oasis. Our Hotel was really nice.
Day 4 we visited kasbah ait Ben haddou which again was really good. We visited earlier in the day and their were less tourists which was nice.
The trip was really good and I would highly recommend. We chose the 4 day tour rather than 3 day because of the children. This was definitely the right choice as the distances are long but if going to Morocco you shouldn't miss going on this trip.
Thanks Hassan, we all had a great time.

Just perfect - We had a wonderful time- from pick up in Marrakesh to return everything worked super well/ always in time/ safe and with excellent/ clear communication.
We were offered wonderful locations and could shape stops on the way to our needs and wishes - that’s the way you want to travel.
Thanks to Hassan for delicious stops underway, all the many interesting insides, likely the best coffee breaks and your ability to deal with our sense of humour :-)
10/10

Great tour for our family of 4 - We went on the 3-day tour from Marrakech to Fes with desert overnight stay, for our family including 11yo son and 8yo daughter. Marwan was our driver and guide and was a joy to be with. Everything was planned out thoughtfully, and we were able to make whatever stops/breaks we needed to keep everyone comfortable on the long drives. We were impressed by the riad and desert camp overnight bookings - the accommodations were perfect, and the food delicious. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Morocco, and I'm glad we booked with this company.

Amazing experience! - We had a great time with Marrakech Desert Trips.
We booked the 3 day tour, going up to the Atlas and sleeping in the desert in mid March 26.
Our driver, Ibrahim, took us to the best spots driving safe and making time for every need.
As a group of four, all photographers, Ibrahim managed to stop at the best places for some landscape photos and included additional stops when necessary. We traveled to Morocco at a particular time of the year, the Ramadan, thanks to MDT intel we never had an issue finding lunch or breakfast, while most of the passenger on the flight back home complained about the lack of food.
The communication with our driver was incredibly good, Ibrahim is incredibly fluent in english.
Sleeping in a hotel in a beautiful canyon not far from the beautiful Monkey Fingers, was and amazing experience, but even more impressive seeing the sunset and the sunrise in the desert was one of the best experiences in life!
A great thank you to the Luxury Oasis Staff who welcomed us and entertained us for the whole evening.
Many thanks to Marrakech Desert Trips and to Ibrahim in particular for his kindness and patience.
One last thing, as we were travelling during the conflict in Iran, we weren't sure if to cancel the trip, in the end it was really worth going to Morocco, it is a beautiful and peaceful country, full of kind and friendly people. We felt incredibly safe, even safer than going around Montmartre in Paris!

Do the private tour but do this tour!! - This review is so overdue! Five stars for the three day tour with Abderrazak!
I read multiple reviews of trips to the Sahara with multiple companies before we booked but I’m so happy we picked this one. Three of us did a three day trip and it was so well planned out - pick up at our hotel, stops on the way, a perfectly fine overnight and then a camel ride and an overnight at a ridiculously glamorous “camp.” Some of the reviews (for all companies) I read complained about stopping at pre planned places and yes, you will stop at places at which they are hoping you will buy things and at restaurants that are obviously preplanned. But the people at the stops were lovely, we learned so much about the culture, and we had some great meals at places we would not have found on our own. Watching a sunset (and then a sunrise) in the Sahara was such an amazing experience.
Abderrazak was our guide for the three days and he was great - we had so many questions about the country, the ecology, the people, religion, culture - you name it we asked about and Abderrazak answered all our questions and taught us so much. We shared American music with him (he didn’t love it) and he shared Imazighen music with us (which we loved!). We had so much fun with him and highly recommend him as a guide!

Private Tour to the Desert - Our family (my parents, sister, and I) did a 3-day private tour from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert.
Over the three days together, our driver Ibrahim was consistently attentive and made sure we were taken care of at every stop. He was also very flexible whenever we wanted to spend a little more time somewhere or adjust the timing. Traveling such a long distance can be tiring, but Ibrahim kept calmed and considerate. We appreciated his professionalism throughout the trip.
A note regarding the company’s description: it mentions a focus on safety and storytelling, but during our tour there wasn’t much of a storytelling or guiding element along the way. Additionally, the first hotel we stayed at was a bit disappointing due to cleanliness issues — we found quite a lot of hair on the bed sheets in both of our rooms.

High quality tour - We had a fantastic time on this tour. Everything ran smoothly and exactly as described. Hassan was our driver and he was beyond competent and trustworthy. We learned a lot from him and I’m grateful for how much value he added to the experience. There was a lot of drive time through beautiful scenery that helped give a sense of the diversity of geography in Morocco. I’d use this company again without hesitation.

The juice is worth the squeeze - Let me start by saying that me (and my 15 year old boy) are completely cool with roughing it, BUT, I went into this looking for a highly curated experience with the most optimal amenities to pacify my wife, who is not. With that said, most of my expectations were met but there were a few areas that fell short.
Let's start with the pros: 1) highly organized & well timed, 2) new, clean and quality buses, 3) a ton bang for your buck with an amazing, diversified itinerary that takes a lot of sting out a 10 hour drive to the main event, and 4) guides and staff that were friendly, welcoming and fluent in English, French and Arabic.
Areas that fell short (for my wife): 1) the hotel the first night in Dades Gorge was "meh". Main issue was the room's tile floor was just gross making it a non-negotiable for her. Steam cleaned floors, a little bit of paint, and 2700k lighting could completely change the vibe for very little money. 2) the dessert camp was great & exactly as expected. We had private bathrooms in our tents but these tents didn't have any form of heating (and it was cold at night). Also, there was a shower but the water was too cold to actually use it. We all slept fully clothed in coats and I was lucky I packed gloves & a hat. To their defense, the beds did have multiple thick blankets but you had to be under covers to be comfortable.
Final thoughts: This a very common, well organized tour. There are operators that offer a more premium hotel for the first night and tents with heating. There are also options that don't have private bathrooms, or include lunches in the cost (which ours didn't), or ATVs vs camels, or neither if you're not adventurous. Point being, there are a ton of alternatives to curate the exact experience you are going for and you get what you pay for. My sense is that the price increases for the upgrades aren't that significant so probably worth it if you are trying to make your wife happy. At the same time, if you are on a budget and have realistic expectations, you can't find a better experience for the money.

Private tour 3 days Marrakech desert merzouga - We made the 3 days excursion from Marrakech to the merzouga desert in private excursion.
We were greeted by Moncef our driver and guide for these 3 days.
First of all, we would like to thank Moncef for his kindness, availability and rich passion for his culture and region.
Throughout these 3 days Moncef has made us discover its culture and share his passion for mountains.
Thank you to him for allowing us to discover all this.
The whole tour allows you to have a good overview of the different landscapes from the top of the Atlas until the arrival in the desert.
The number of kilometers is considerable but the different activities and stop make the excursion pleasant.
However, the excursion remains in a tourist circuit. The service with the agency means you don’t have to worry about anything for bookings and organization.
