Marrakech - Embark on an exhilarating desert journey and immerse yourself in an extraordinary adventure that showcases the region’s vibrant cultural heritage. Along the route, marvel at the stunning Draa Valley, with its flowing river and traditional Kasbahs, which have housed families for generations. Discover charming villages and historical sites, including the renowned Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, Ouarzazate, and Kasbah Taourirt. The area is famous for its palm oasis, producing the finest dates in the region, and the expansive dunes beginning in Zagora, known as “the door of the desert.” As you navigate the sand and rocks, you’ll be captivated by the area’s natural beauty, creating an unforgettable experience. Let this journey inspire you to appreciate the world’s beauty and the richness of its cultures.
Marrakech - On Day 1 of the journey, the adventure begins early at 7:00 am, heading towards Ouarzazate, a town 200 km away, nestled in the breathtaking Atlas Mountains.
Toufliht - As the journey progresses through the mountains, enjoy the stunning scenery and pass through delightful Berber villages like Toufliht.
Ouarzazate - In the early afternoon, there will be a stop near the Kasbah to savor a delicious lunch (not included). Afterward, continue through the vibrant town of Ouarzazate, Africa’s cinema capital.
Draa Valley - The journey then continues towards Agdz and Zagora, where a tour of the magnificent Draa Valley and its lush palm grove awaits. Then, mount camels for a 1.5-hour ride through the enchanting dunes.
Zagora-Ait ben Haddou-Marrakech
Zagora - On Day 2, rise before dawn to witness the enchanting first light of day. After breakfast, ride camels back to the vehicles to commence the return journey to Marrakech.
Ait Ben Haddou - Stop to explore the historic Ait Benhaddou, a 16th-century Kasbah recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Tour the Kasbah before enjoying a delightful lunch (not included) and continuing the journey back to Marrakech. Return to the city in the late evening, feeling refreshed and inspired by the incredible sights and experiences encountered.
