We meet at ‘Bab Doukkala’ gate on the Rue Boutouil side. It is easy to access with a taxi from the city’s hotels. The gate has four arches. There are two smaller arches for pedestrians on either side, one of which is next to a small sidewalk kiosk. The guide will meet you here for your food tour.

Thank you Chef Tours - Full on worth the time and cost. Full on worth the walking and up to 4 hours and full on worth not having breakfast or lunch so you’ll have room to fit all the food. Rachid was a five star guide with his explanations of cultural relevance and ingredients as well as method. Guy is interested in his job and wants you to enrich yourself from the experience. Sweets, coffees, teas, breads, meats, spices, laughs and camaraderie.

Excellent tour with knowledgeable and friendly guide. - Rashid was great, he took us on a walk through the medina showing us different foods, how it was prepared and in one case we made some small pastries ourselves. There was a variety of savoury and sweet food to sample, and different drinks. We were shown how coffee is heated in hot sand then blended with 6 spices for us to sample. The tour lasted 4 hours and ended in the main square where we drank mint overlooking the noises and activities. So much to eat! Great value for money.

Highly recommend - Good variety of food with portions you could manage (and more was always ifferes). Wear sensible shoes - there's walking, but plenty of well-timed seated stops too.

Excellent and varied experiences and tastes - Rashid was an excellent guide for our group of four couples. We wound our way through various parts of the medina, sampling, watching demos and even doing a bit of pastry making ourselves. Lots to see, learn and taste. You wont be disappointed.

All Access - This is a fantastic way to see the Medina, learn about Moroccan culture and have plenty of food along the way. The tour rolls up to a location and it feels like guide is an employee with all access to the restaurants, bread oven, hammam furnace (to heat water), food stalls and so on. It’s an excellent way to see Marrakech. I highly recommend this tour.

Best tour I've ever done - This is the most amazing tour and the best introduction to Marrakech and navigating the souks. Our guide Rashid was brilliant in showing us lots of cafés, stalls and delicious food. Also brilliant that we ended up on a rooftop terrace in the main square at sunset. Make sure you're hungry though as there's lots of food!

The HIGHLIGHT of my Marrakesh trip! - I recently went on a Moroccan food tasting tour, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! Rashid, our guide, was amazing.. so knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. He kept us engaged the entire time, and I learned so much about Moroccan traditions, cuisine, and cooking. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe throughout the tour. The meeting instructions were very clear, and Rashid made everyone feel comfortable from the start. He also went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable by providing hand sanitiser, tissues, and plenty of opportunities to wash our hands, as well as toilet breaks along the way. We tried around 15 different types of food (possibly even more!) from tasty snacks to larger meal portions, so definitely go hungry! Lots of water was provided as well. The variety of stops we visited was outstanding. One of the highlights was visiting local community underground ovens to see how tangia is cooked and how traditional Moroccan bread is baked, such a unique experience I would have never come across on my own. All of the food vendors and business owners we met were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and nobody expected tips, which made the experience feel very genuine. That said, I highly encourage tourists to tip their guide, Rashid truly deserves it for the effort and care he puts into the tour. I cannot recommend this tour with Rashid enough, it was the perfect mix of culture, history, and of course, mouthwatering food.
