Cooking Marrakesh Style - It was great. Najla is a true delight. She makes sure from the beginning that everyone feels comfortable and takes dietary restrictions seriously. It was fun buying the food together with her. She explains everything in a way that is simple but informative. Can't recommend it enough.

A brilliant cookery class - Najla’s cookery class is amazing. We booked through our Riad, without really knowing what to expect. It turned out to be a totally authentic Moroccan food experience in her own home. The shopping for ingredients was brilliant because as a tourist you would never really visit these places and speaking to genuine ‘local’ people. The class starts with tea, served properly, accompanied by cookies. The food preparation is shared amongst the group. The preparation of it was just as good as the eating of 2 main courses and several side dishes. It was lovely to be part of a randomly selected multinational group with a shared interest in good food. Najla shares the recipes with you at the end of the class.

A morning well spent! - This was a really lovely, interesting and tasty morning with Najla! From helping choose and buy the ingredients from her local businesses to learning how to make ‘proper’ Moroccan tea and then prepare the delicious meal in her kitchen - and of course eat it……well the time just flew past! Najla herself was delightful, a great teacher and hostess giving us not just invaluable information about her food, but also about Moroccan culture. The follow up email contained her clear recipes for what we had cooked, and some others. This is a really lovely way to spend a morning in Marrakesh and you will undoubtedly come away with a full tum and much new knowledge!

Great. - We spent an incredible day with the sparkling Najla who welcomed us to her home to share all her secrets of Moroccan cuisine! We couldn’t have dreamed better to close our trip! We made the market alongside him to select the ingredients then showed us the secrets of mint tea and finally we cooked Moroccan salad, tagines .... Great 🥰 Thank you very much Najla!

Really enjoyable experience learning to cook Moroccan food - Najla is an extremely knowledgeable chef, very focused on all the details. She taught us how to prepare Moroccan tea, which we found out is not so straightforward. Also she helped us make the most amazing tajines. I will definitely be cooking tajines again once I get home.

The best thing we have done in Marrakech! - We had a great time doing Najla's class! We loved everything from the grocery shopping and exchanging conversations with other locals, being invited into Najla's beautiful home, learning how to make peppermint green tea, meatballs and egg targine and several condiments (and consuming it of course!), as well as learning about the rich Moroccan culture. Naj is a very experienced chef and we cooked hands down the most delicious food we've had in our 2 weeks in Morocco. She provided different recipe options based on our preferences, and says she easily adapts recipes to suit any dietary requirement. There was also an option to make Argan oil for an extra cost for those interested in that. This experience is a great way to spend half a day in Marrakech, and is great value for money. My partner and I can't wait to cook the recipes when we get back home! Thank you, Naj 😁

Cooking with Najla and other guests - Chef Najla was very friendly and welcoming. She made us feel very at ease and made sure she spent time with each of us. She explained each step and made sure none of us missed out when we were preparing other bits. The communal cooking aspect of it around one table is really nice too as it encourages guests to engage with each other. The food cooked was also very fresh and we'll definitely be cooking these again at home!

A fun way to learn the secrets of Moroccan cuisine. - Najla was a wonderful teacher and host. She allowed us to become fully immersed in Moroccan food culture and made the whole experience hugely worthwhile. We made three tagine dishes; one vegetarian and two meat. She explained each step perfectly and in detail. Her knowledge of herbs and spices added a totally different dimension to the act of cooking. The accompaniments were equally of interest and fascinating taste. Simple tomato, cucumber and courgette (zucchini) dishes were raised to a whole new level by the addition of the correct spices and lemon juice, with sugar playing its part and the pickled lemons were a revelation too. Her lesson in how to make green tea was fascinating. I left the class with the intention of buying a decent tagine when I get home and looking forward to cooking for my family all of the dishes we had on the course. I strongly recommend anyone with even a passing interest in cookery to take Najla’s class, you definitely won’t regret it. She is professional, very friendly and extremely welcoming.
