A fantastic tour - Kirsh was our guide to the desert. It made the trip very fun and enjoyable. 💯 We also did the quads, which was much more fun than in Agafai.

Good three day trip but be prepared to be flexible and over priced lunches - Overall great experience but just some minor items. Meeting point in Marrakech Hotel Ali was under construction when I scouted it out and they told me to goto Hotel Tazi down the street instead. We had Abdul/Saeed as the guide/driver. They made us join a whatsapp group chat and upload a selfie which I did not want to do as I do not join any group chats, mostly people uploading their pics during trip. Lunch was 130 dirham when I had the same pizza in Marrakesh for 20 dirham so food options overpriced. Same on day 2 where lunch again was 120 dirham. I can get a panini sandwich with fries in town for only 25 dirham so these tourist prices are quite high. First night hotel was good but we arrived quite late. Dinner included. Second night we did the camel trek and stayed in the tents. I had private tent with ensuite shower. Next morning departures 6am was not properly communicated, i thought they were joking and was sleeping in. The evenings campfire music was very amateur and not rehearsed. Return trip I did the dune buggy instead of camel trek back. I was the only one in group going to Fes which I had to explain to guide and have the tour company explain to him as he didnt know and thought we are all going back to Marrakech. Like other reviews say they put you in a smaller 7 passenger van that is quite hot with windows that do not open much. They took us to another expensive restaurant for lunch but this time we had options so we went across the road for half price. Overall good tour but just be prepared to be a bit flexible. A bit of a "party bus" so just go with the flow.

Marrakech-Merzouga-Fez - Enjoyable trip, camel ride and sunset over the dunes the highlight. Comfortable vehicle. Salim, our guide, very friendly. If going through to Fez rather than returning to Marrakech confirm that guide is aware early in the trip to ensure Fez transfer from Merzouga is organised . Alot of driving time but Morroco is a big country so to be expected. Great way to see the many different aspects and terrains of the Moroccan landscape. Adequate stops along the way to stretch the legs.

Excellent value for money - The tour is quite challenging because of the distances, but there are many stops. The main experience is of course the desert camel, and it lives up to expectations. But also beautiful intermediate stages, especially the casbah of Ait Ben Haddou, unforgettable. The hotel on the first night wasn't much but the desert tent, luxury version, was fantastic. Visits to carpet and scarf shops are also planned, but they are not too annoying.

Experience of a life time - This trip was more than I expected and I took alot more from it than I thought that I would. In the end this was more than a Sahara tour for me. It was a cross section experience of Morocco's beauty and an understanding of what the people of Morocco are. Our guide Ahmed and driver Amir brought us to some incredibly beautiful places. Leaving out of Marakech we passed over the High Atlas mountain range, a geologists paradise. We can really get a sense of the power and energy in tectonic activity that formed this incredibly beautiful mountain range. Stopping along the way at view points you can see the stalls packed with fossils and fascinating rock formations which tell the real story of the geological history of this region. Pity fossils add heavily to baggage weight. Another highlight for me was Aït Benhaddou. For the movie fans this has been a film location for some very well known movies such as Gladiator, Indian Jones, Laurence of Arabia to mention a couple. Personally I love movies but I feel to much emphasis is put on the fact that these beautiful locations around the world are connected to movies as apposed to been enjoyed for what they are. Aït Benhaddou is astonishing in its construction, maintenance and the idea of living life in a community there. Our guide was very nice and polite and what's more importantly proud of his family roots there. We spent one night in Dadès Valley and surrounding area, including the famous Monkey's Fingers slot canyon at Tamlalt. The accommodation was very comfortable and the food filled a hungry belly. The location was stunning at night with an incredibly clear starry night. I found myself relaxing with our guide and some locals in the evening. I am a solo traveller and I find the morrocan people so welcoming. I enjoyed having a bit of a laugh with them. The next day we continued for another long day of driving. There were stops along the way for bathroom and food breaks. As there had been the previous day. We arrived at the edge of Merzouga at about 1700 and immediately met our guide and camel driver. We were to be a small caravan of 17 camels. There were plenty of other companies operating in this area. Both with camels, quad bikes, and 4x4. It was definitely a popular location. Our baggage was Brought ahead of us to camp and we wandered off into the sand dunes. The experience was amazing and one that I will never forget. We stopped of near a dune that gave us a great view to the west as we watched the sun go down. This part of the Sahara is a small area where you can see all the way to where the dunes stop and reach flat land. Merzouga is right along the edge. Keep this in mind as I overheard several people say they expected to feel a little more remote. Personally I had hoped for the same but I looked on Google Earth before booking and I had a good Idea of what I was getting. I loved the experience. To be realistic, you are never going to get the Lawrence of Arabia experience unless you train for it and spend a considerable amount of time and money planning this as an expedition. The Merzouga desert offers a glimpse of what the beautiful Sahara can offer. The colour, light and shade, the curves of the sharp edge dunes to a soft rounded slope. It was beautiful as you glide across its surface on your ship of the desert. We joined the other groups in our camp where we ate from a buffet, so much good food. After dinner we were entertained by such talented local musicians. One of my favourite experiences of Morocco was staying up later and sitting out under the stars in the Sahara and jamming djembe with the musicians. They were so polite and welcoming. It was so much fun with the music been a universal language. The next morning we had a full breakfast and rode the camels back across the dunes to watch the sunrise. What an amazing way to start our day. We began the long drive to Fes. We stopped briefly to see the Barbary macaque. Personally I did not enjoy this experience so much. The monkeys are incredible creatures, but the locals bring the food the food brings the monkeys, the monkeys bring the tourists who also buy more food from the locals and the end result, the tourists bring more moneyy. Yes, they aren't harmed in anyway from what I could see and a dalm site better than Marakech. But it still interferes in their natural behaviour. We arrived in fes at about 1800. Summary: I highly recommend this trip with somethings to bare in mind if you have read any of the negative reviews and if you are from western society standards, maybe not used to travelling in a country with a struggling economy, not prepared to open yourself up (with your guard up to a certain degree of course) to absorbing everything you can to help develop your understanding of a beautiful new country with the traditions, cultures, vibrance and struggles that come with it. Then not only is this not for you but I recommend you stay home. You will learn alot along the way on this trip. Look at everything in the background too. Think about the people and how they have lived and continue to live. Absorb all that you can. The guides are professional kind and very passionate about their motherland. They love what they do. I had previously had a very negative encounter in Marakech. Just one out of many positive encounters so I was a little apprehensive at the start of this trip. After experiencing the adventure the best advice that I can give to you is sit back and enjoy the ride. Thanks Ahmed and amir

Good 3 day experience but be flexible for some bumps - Overall a good experience but be flexible. The meeting point in Marrakech Hotel Ali was under renovations when I scouted it the day before. I sent them a pic so they told me to meet Hotel Tazi down the street. They should have informed me themselves. The guide was Abdul and Saeed was the driver. They wanted us to join a whatsapp group which I did not want to as I dont join group chats. Then they wanted us to upload a selfie when we could see everyone on the bus. Day 1 lunch very overpriced 130 Dirhams (13 Euros). I had pizza in Marrakech for 20 dirham and a panini sandwich and fries for 25 dirham so this was way overpriced. First night hotel they claimed I "might not get my own room and would have to share" if there were not enough rooms causing anxiety but luckily I had my own room. Driver Saeed would take the microphone, sing, and clap along while driving with one hand which was not safe. Also they had some private joke about me and tried teasing me so I just avoided them most of the trip. Camel trekking was quite nice. I had my private room with own shower. There were no plug outlets except for one USB that did not work properly. The evening camp music was very amateur and poorly organized. Lunch was a buffet also overpriced again at 120 Dirham when I had been buying food on Marrakesh for below 30 Dirham. Next morning 6am departure was not properly explained. I thought it was a joke and I was still in bed so had to rush and gather all my stuff when the camp had completely cleared so I missed breakfast. I did the dune buggy ATV back instead of camel which was quite fun. I was the only one transferring to Fes from our group while the rest went back to Marrakesh. Originally the guide said it was 70 Euros extra so I had the tour company message him that I had already paid for Fes transfer. They put us in a 7 person smaller taxi that did not have windows that open but I was in a good spot so ok. Lunch again was an expensive restaurant 100 Dirham but we found somewhere across the street for half price. Overall a good experience, they delivery everything in itinerary. Just be prepared it can be a bit of a party bus and there may be some teasing involved. Lunches are very overpriced compare to what I pay for food in Marrakech, Fes or other cities. If you are not going back to Marrakesh and going to Fes make sure the guide is aware as I was the only one.

An unforgettable experience - The experience was great. However, we were with our group for the first day. But stayed at different hotels. Back together the next day until we arrived at the place where we getting an unforgettable experience.on the camels. Got to the camp, ate and sat and watched the Berber music show. But again got separated from the group and our camp was in a different site. We were well looked after but the information was not clear as to why all these changes were happening . We reserved the luxury tents. Maybe that’s why. The next day we were with a totally different group once again to go home.

Disorganized but pleasant anyway - The tour itself was nice, but it's hard to give a rating about this specific one due to the way everything is organized. They clearly take any booking for similar tours and put them all together in random groups. The guide didn't seem to have the information related to my booking (like type of camp, final destination) and it ultimately seems kind of useless to have those options if they are not taken into consideration. Overall I would still recommend, but make sure to check that your choices are respected.

With few exceptions, an amazing trip. No Spanish, don't insist. - No Spanish, hopefully some English. The tour is quite good, all very well organized. Meals at bad, expensive stops. Guide in Ait Ben Haddou unfriendly and wants you to buy only in the stores that he takes you (all 5 times more expensive), otherwise it makes you walk fast and you waste time in stores that you do not want to see, plus it makes a lot of pressure to buy. Desert journey to messy fez (rest of the group goes to Marrakech), we waited more than 2 hours to start the journey to fez (in the middle of desert), we were taken to the worst restaurant in the world (4 people refused to eat there, because of the quality and poor care). The rest very well organized and very good accommodation. All the tours are similar, the differences are minimal really since the accommodation in the desert is from the same community, only difference is made by the type of room, in our individual case with private bathroom, which was first level. We ratify the other comments, they are not guides they are drivers, hopefully they tell you the next stop and the time you will be, but it does not detract from the charm of the trip. The agency communicated every day to learn of any problems, which is appreciated.

Horrible experience - It was a horrible experience with the transportation they provided to us from the desert to Fes. They sent us a taxi, which was very old and uncomfortable. It was ripped in some parts, and with NO AC (they offered an air conditioned van) The driver picked up some more local people. It was supposed to be a private transportation not a public transportation. He was driving so carelessly and looking at his phone all the time. We were so scared that we were going to get in an accident. He also stopped several times to buy his own groceries, the car smelled like onions. The tour that I paid for said that they were to leave us as close as possible to my hotel/riad. The driver left us at the entrance of the Medina and said that cars can’t come any closer. We had to walk with all our luggage for more than 25 mins, only to see that there was a street less than 1 min away from the riad. I wrote to the tour operator to explain the situation and they didn’t even apologized. This was the most horrible experience that I have lived. Do not book with this operator if you don’t want to live nightmare.
