Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Marrakech - The 4-day adventure begins in Marrakech, where guests will be picked up from their hotel in the morning using private transportation.

Tizi n Tichka - Traveling through the High Atlas Mountains via the breathtaking Tizi n Tichka pass, travelers can admire the stunning rugged landscapes and charming Berber villages. Cameras should be ready, and if the friendly village children wave, be sure to wave back.

Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - The journey continues to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for Hollywood movies like Gladiator, which won an Academy Award for Best Picture, and the fantasy TV series Game of Thrones.

Ait Ben Haddou - After visiting, lunch is enjoyed before continuing towards Ouarzazate, passing through the Valley of Roses en route to the Dades Valley.

Dadès Gorges - Upon reaching the Dades Valley, dinner will be served, and the night will be spent at a riad. A riad, meaning “gardens” in Arabic, is typically a traditional guesthouse built around a central courtyard.

Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi

Dades Gorges - In the morning, the journey continues towards Merzouga, the gateway to Erg Chebbi, where the striking orange sand dunes of the Sahara Desert await.

Todra River - On the way, the town of Tinghir is visited to explore the Todra Gorge, renowned as one of the world’s most spectacular canyons. Afterward, lunch is enjoyed before proceeding to Erfoud.

Erfoud - In Erfoud, a local fossil craft workshop is visited before heading to Merzouga.

Merzouga - Upon arrival in Merzouga, luggage is stored at a local hotel, and modern transport is left behind to explore the Erg Chebbi sand dunes on camelback, arriving at the campsite. Here, the beautiful sunset can be admired, but the night is just beginning.

Erg Chebbi - At the campsite, dinner is enjoyed by the fire with drumming music, songs, laughter, and the mesmerizing stars before retiring for the night in a Berber tent.

Erg Chebbi – Merzouga – Khamlia Village – Merzouga

Erg Chebbi - Rise early to witness the sunrise over the Sahara and embrace a new day of adventure. After breakfast, the desert is departed on camels to meet the driver and continue the journey.

Merzouga - After freshening up, travel along Erg Chebbi to see the giant sand dunes resembling pyramids. From there, the journey continues to Tissardmin, rich in fossils and featuring a diverse landscape of mountain ranges, deserts, and sandy dunes.

Khemliya - The journey continues past desert nomadic settlements, offering an opportunity to learn about their desert life. A stop is made to view the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi before arriving at Khamlia Village, also known as Gnawa Village, famous for its indigenous dark-skinned inhabitants and authentic “Gnawa music.”

Merzouga - At Gnawa Village, a performance of the enchanting Gnawa music is enjoyed before returning to the hotel. The afternoon is free to explore Merzouga at leisure. Dinner is served at the hotel, where the night is spent.

Merzouga – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

Erg Chebbi - Rise early to witness the sunrise over the Sahara and embrace a new day of adventure.

Midelt - After breakfast, the desert is departed on camels to meet the driver and continue the journey.

Ifrane - After lunch, the drive continues through the cedar forest of Azrou, with a stop to play with the friendly Barbary Apes. The journey continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains before arriving in Ifrane, known as the Moroccan Switzerland.

Fes - The memorable trip concludes in the city of Fes, where guests are dropped off at their hotel or riad, with hopes of showcasing more of Morocco in the future.
