Depart from Marrakech, visit Ait Ben Haddou, and stay overnight in the Dades Canyon.

High Atlas Mountains Guide - Departing from Marrakech, the journey heads east to the High Atlas Mountains. The first stop is approximately a 1 hour and 30-minute drive away. Here, enjoy a panoramic view at the start of the Atlas Mountains, with 20 minutes of free time to perhaps enjoy a cup of Moroccan tea or coffee and capture some memorable photos.

Tizi n Tichka - The second stop is at Tizi n’Tichka for about 20 minutes, where you can take in the panoramic view of the winding road and the altitude of 2260 meters (7415 feet) above sea level.

Ait Ben Haddou - Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, renowned for films such as The Man Who Would Be King, Jewel of the Nile, Jesus of Nazareth, The Message, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Gladiator.

In this fortress, spend approximately two hours—one hour for lunch and one hour for exploring.

Dades Gorges - After visiting Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, travel to Dades Gorge, where you can explore the unique rock formations known as the Monkey Toes and the iconic winding roads in the canyon, before arriving at your hotel.

Dades Valley, Todra Gorge, camel trekking, luxury camp in Erg Chebbi.

Todgha Gorge - Drive back through the Dades Valley, then head towards the Todra Gorge, where you can make stops along the Todra River. Finally, reach Todra Canyon, famous for rock climbing. Enjoy a 40-minute break to stretch your legs before heading to the Sahara Desert.

Erg Chebbi - In the evening, arrive at the camel parking area in Erg Chebbi, where a 2-hour camel trek through the sand dunes begins. The camel guide will accompany you to a high point to watch the sunset, before continuing to your luxury camp.
After dinner, enjoy the camp’s charm with a campfire and Berber drum music in a serene atmosphere near the fire. Later, the lights will be turned off to allow for clear star gazing.

Return to Marrakech via Ouarzazate

Alnif - After enjoying a stunning sunrise and breakfast, head back to Marrakech via a different route, passing through the desert’s black mountains filled with Acacia trees. Stop in Alnif for a cup of coffee or tea, then continue the drive to Ouarzazate.

Ouarzazate - Explore the edge of Ouarzazate and discover one of Morocco’s most spectacular historical legacies of wealth and power. Just on the edge of this quiet Moroccan city, you’ll find Taourirt Kasbah, a citadel set against the backdrop of the Atlas Mountains.

Marrakech - From Ouarzazate to Marrakech, take the same route as the first day, crossing the High Atlas Mountains. Arrive in Marrakech and drop off at the nearest parking area to your hotel/riad. This marks the end of your 3-day Marrakech desert trip.
