Day 2: Majorelle Gardens & Marrakech City Tour
Jardin Majorelle - After breakfast, visit the stunning Majorelle Gardens, a short drive from the hotel. These botanical gardens were crafted by French artist Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s and 1930s. Owned by Yves Saint Laurent since 1980, his ashes were scattered here after his passing in 2008. The Berber Museum, opened in 2017, showcases over 600 artifacts from Morocco’s indigenous tribes and is dedicated to Yves Saint Laurent’s life and work.
This afternoon, embark on a guided tour of Marrakech. Within the rose-colored medina walls lies a maze of winding streets and alleys leading to lush gardens and bustling souks. At the heart of the medina is Djemaa El Fna, the city’s vibrant marketplace, with the famous Koutoubia Mosque towering over it, the tallest building in the city.

Day 3: Ait Benhaddou - UNESCO World Heritage Site
Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate. Departing the city this morning, travel across the Haouz plains to the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Ascend the Tizi n Tichka pass, stop for lunch, and continue with breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys to Ait Benhaddou. This remarkable ancient fortified Kasbah, built for defense on a hill, is a beautifully preserved medieval city featured in many blockbuster films, including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. Continue south to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of North Africa,” famous for being the filming location for many Hollywood blockbusters and TV shows, including James Bond – The Living Daylights, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones.

Depending on the season, relax and swim before embarking on a camel trek into the Sahara Desert to witness a stunning sunset and spend the night at a remote Berber Camp, nestled among the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi. Stop at Ifrane, a charming town often compared to a Swiss Alpine resort, before reaching Fes. Along the way, catch glimpses of Morocco’s nomadic Berbers traveling across the mountains, often staying in makeshift tents as they journey to their next destination. Arrive in Fes in the early evening.
