Marrakech- Imlil - Sidi Chamharouch-Toubkal Hut 3207 m

On the Slopes of Toubkal - Day 1: Departure from the hotel in Marrakech at 9:00 AM marks the start of the trek. The journey begins along the Mizane Valley, passing through the village of Aremd and reaching the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. The trek continues across the floodplains, crossing the river to arrive at the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, a popular spot for tourists and pilgrims. From this point, the trail ascends steadily, winding its way up to the snowline and reaching the Toukbal Refuge (3206m), where we will spend the night.

Mount Toubkal - Jebel Toukbal, the tallest peak in Northern Africa. The route leads to the south circus, crossing the stream above the refuge. Although the walk is relatively straightforward, the scree and altitude present challenges. The stunning views along the path make the effort worthwhile. Upon reaching the summit, the breathtaking landscape offers panoramic views in every direction, from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north, and extending south to the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara. The return journey follows the same path back to the mountain and Imlil, with a transfer to Marrakech.
