An unforgettable day in Luxor – highly recommended! - On 17th of August, we had the great pleasure of taking a day trip to Luxor with our driver Ahmed and our guide Mark – and it was simply perfect from start to finish. Ahmed picked us up punctually at 4 a.m. and drove us safely to Luxor in about 3.5 hours. Once we arrived, we met Mark, who guided us through the entire day with passion and expertise. Our first stop was the Karnak Temple. Thanks to Mark’s perfect planning, we were among the very first visitors and could enjoy the temple almost on our own – when we left, the crowds were just arriving. He explained the temple’s history and architecture in detail, making it easy to understand. On top of that, he turned out to be an excellent photographer and took some truly beautiful pictures of us. Next, we visited a papyrus workshop, where we were shown in German how papyrus is traditionally made. Afterwards, we stopped at a spice shop where we could smell and taste different spices – the chicken spice was our absolute favorite 😍. Lunch was served at a restaurant by the Nile with a buffet of fresh dishes (all salads washed with mineral water). Drinks were extra, but no problem. After lunch, we enjoyed a peaceful boat ride on the Nile – just us alone on the boat, which made it very special. In the afternoon, we visited the Valley of the Kings, the absolute highlight of the day. Again, thanks to Mark’s planning, we were among the first to enter, avoiding the tourist crowds. He explained everything thoroughly and even warned us about common tourist traps inside the tombs – very helpful! We also stopped at a handicraft workshop where statues are made by hand. The people were very welcoming, toilets were free, and with Mark’s help we managed to negotiate a fair price for a souvenir we liked. Our last stop was the breathtaking Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir el-Bahari) – the perfect ending to a perfect day. Finally, a huge thank you: • Mark guided us with so much passion, knowledge and care that we truly felt like part of his family. • Ahmed was an excellent driver, always on time, driving very safely, and even surprising my daughter with ice cream and cookies. This tour was one of the absolute highlights of our Egypt trip. We always felt safe, comfortable and very well looked after. ➡️ We can 100% recommend this tour – it was an unforgettable day!

Hot day in Luxor - We had the team of Ahmed Saleh (driver) and Prof Ahmed Elsisi (Egyptologist) on this very hot day tour in Luxor. Ahmed was a great driver. We started the day in El Gouna and he got us to Luxor in 4 hours with a couple stops. He brought water and drinks for us which was amazing in the 107° day. Prof Ahmed was extremely knowledgeable and told stories to go along with the history. It made the day very interesting. We visited all the temples and were able to customize the tour. Overall, I would recommend this tour to anyone. It is a long day but definitely worth it.

Fantastic Day - I am writing about the private day tour DA Marsa Alam to Luxor that I booked with you, which my partner and I took yesterday. We wanted to thank you for this fantastic and perfectly organized day. Special thanks to our Hala guide, who was professional and met our needs. Special thanks also to our driver Mustafa, who did his job admirably. It was a fantastic day for us and we will take it home as a wonderful memory. Best regards, Alice and Mirko from Italy.

A Day Trip from Hurgada to Luxor with the professional Ahmed Elsisi - We had an excellent day trip from Hurgada to Luxor. We really enjoyed and appreciated the extensive knowledge about ancient Egypt of our guide Ahmed Eslisi. He' s an extrodrinary guide, very communicative, flexible and kind. He explains everything clearly, systematically and in a very interesting way. He literally knows everything about Egyps (history, culture, politics, geography...). We highly reccommend him if you want to experience Luxor highlights in the best way possible. Besides, we had a very good time together.

Trip to Luxor with an excellent tourist guide - We had an excellent trip to Luxor. The guide was perfect, very kind, communicative, with very good level of English and with extensive knowledge of egyptology. We learned a lot, he could answer all our questions and we had a very good time together. We strongly recommend him as a specialist in ancient Egypt, having very good cultural, political and geographical knowledge about Egypt.

Private daytrip to Luxor - We were picked up at 4 am. It was about a 5 hour ride from our resort near Port Ghalib. There is a road that would take an hour of the ride but tourists are not allowed to travel that road. The driver amazed us with how well he knows the roads, I would not recommend driving yourself. There is new roads and old roads but the drivers have knowledge of where all of the potholes are. Once in Luxor we picked up our tourgude Samira. She was absolutely wonderfull and started sharing what the itinuary of the day would be and her knowledge of our surroubdings and of what we drove past in Luxor. She showed all mentioned places. I love Egypt and tried to learn a lot about it, but I've learned so much from her! Samira also answered every question we had. Made sure the streetvenders did not bother us too much and warned beforehand what to watch out for. She also had a few suggestions of what to see, translated and recommended what was best for our day trip. It was very clear a day just wasnt enough to see all Luxor had to offer. For our first trip to Egypt, the places we went to were absolutely perfect. I'm already planning another trip to Luxor for next year, would love to have Samira as our guide again! I will take her advise and come at a later tine, seeing july and august are a few of the hottest months there (can get above 50°C. We were lucky with 'only' 42°C). Having a private trip was also really awesome, made it much more personal and it really gives all opportunity to see what you want and go about all places on your own tempo instead of having a grouptour where you have to adapt to the tour

Wonderful cultural experience - It was a wonderful experience! Everything went for the best! My partner and I left at 3:40 from our Resort in a private, air-conditioned car. Our driver drives really very well and knows the road perfectly because, he explained, every day he makes that route up to Luxor... So fear not! For the duration of the trip, the driver was always ready with the car to take us from one site to another. He was always punctual and the return trip went well too. In Luxor, our private guide, Magdalene, was waiting for us. She is a really experienced and professional archaeologist and Egyptologist. He explained so many interesting and passionate things. She is also very nice and kind! Without our expert guide, this visit would not have made sense! I think it is extremely important not only to look, but also to understand the wonders and history behind the monuments and remains of ancient Egypt. The trip to the felucca on the Nile was also delicious! I recommend this experience to everyone!

Rip-off and very disappointing - Was unfortunately a buying event, overpriced and cheeky. Were taken to a tourist trap where supposedly handmade sculptures are sold but which could be bought at any stand in the city for a fraction of the price in the same quality. Luxor is beautiful but unfortunately not with this guide. Our driver, however, was super nice and picked us up from our hotel on time at 4pm and brought us safely and quickly to Luxor and back again, he was very friendly and polite. Under Guide Magda though rather less, she was nice but unfortunately could not explain so much about all the sights, the tour was very timed and you were quickly chased away further. Her German was at best mediocre and her knowledge, the constant phone calls did not contribute to the success of the tour. Not all programme items were met.
