Prometheus Cave - Kumistavi is renowned for the legend of Amirani, which inspired the “Cave of Prometheus” name. According to the legend, Amirani, like Prometheus, angered the gods and faced severe punishment. An eagle tormented him by eating his liver; however, unlike the Greek giant, the cruel gods chained Amirani not to a rock, but inside a vast cave. From Prometheus Cave, Khvamli Mountain is visible, where the legend says Prometheus was bound.
