- Maspalomas - We will walk along a trail in the central part of the island near the highest peak of Gran Canaria – Pico de las Nieves (1949m above sea level). One of the attractions is the view of the neighboring Roque Nublo, the east and south coast of the island and with good visibility of the Pico de Teide (3718m above sea level) in Tenerife….

- Sports or trekking shoes (with a good grip) are mandatory and will be checked by the guide before starting the excursion. During our routes, we recommend mountain clothing or sports clothing.

- In the period from April to September, rainfall is low, the temperature even in the highest part of the mountains is around 22 degrees, reaching up to 26 degrees in June, July and August. The T-shirt usually fits us well, but it is always good to wear long-sleeved clothing.
- The months of October to March are a variable period of time and more frequent rains (we always try to avoid carrying out our excursions during rainy days, but sometimes the weather can surprise us). It is recommended (during the mandatory cold days) warm clothing with long sleeves (pants, polartec) and a waterproof jacket that can work perfectly as a windbreaker.
- In case of force majeure that prevents the excursion from continuing or endangers the health or life of the excursion participants (weather conditions, etc.), the organizer reserves the right to modify the route or change it to another / another date, or cancel it.
- Recommended minimum age for children: 8 years.

Excellent Day - Highly Recommended - I booked a day hiking with GC Active Tour during my holiday to Gran Canaria. The day really was perfect in every way from pick up in the resort, to the hike itself (neither too easy nor too challenging) and Maciej's excellent knowledge and ability to guide and enable.
I have no hesitation in recommending GC Active Tour.

The mountains of Gran Canaria. - The first time, I couldn't have seen everything: Dandelion grows over 2 m high here.... Through the window you can see the Zeide.

Beautiful informative hike in the hills - Easily arranged pick up, our guide was so friendly and informative, switching effortlessly between English and German (the other hikers). The drive into the mountains itself was lovely, the walk itself was simply stunning with in April the pine woods full of beautiful flowers (2m tall Canary island dandelion!), then the views from the various viewpoints . . simply sublime!
A nice steady but easy walking pace with plenty stops for our excellent guide (so sorry name escapes me but a lovely Polish guy 21 year resident of island with a passion for the hills) to explain views and surroundings.

A word great! Thank you Maciej Richter (GC Active Tour) - We spent a whole day on the road with Maciej. What an amazing experience that was. He picked us up at our hotel and took us to the highest hiking point in Gran Canaria. He told interesting about Gran Canaria, nature and knew to everything we asked, answer.
After a walk of more than 9 km we then went for dinner in restaurante Grill Fatanga. Where we could choose from many different meals.
It was a great day and we can recommend it to everyone.

Memorable hike! - Very nice guide with amazing energy, care and considerstion! The tour was amazing. We saw amazing spots and heard amazing stories the way guide helds the group is really uplifting. We not only saw the peak but also Fataga and Maspalmas . Lunch was also very nice! Would defitely reccomend. The pace is good and considerate to everyone. Not too big group

Fabulous hike in Gran Canaria - We had a fantastic hike with Maciej, and 7 others. Pace was very relaxed with plenty of stops to take in the breathtaking views, which included seeing Tenerife in the distance from one of the peaks. Maciej was very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Rounded off with a lovely lunch at a nearby cafe. Would strongly recommend to anyone who wants to see the glorious I interior of Gran Canaria.

Welcome return visit to the mountains - This was our second year with Maciej. On our trip the majority of people were returning customers, which says it all. Excellent trip as usual, very efficiently run, all pickups at the time stated. Maciej where appropriate will also adjust the trip to improve the guest experience.
Overall an excellent day, highly recommended and interesting to meet other walkers from other countries.

Great 3.5 hour hike in the heart of Gran Canaria - Great 3.5 hour hike (7 km) in the national park between Roque Nublo and Pico de las Nievas.
The tour guide Maciej explains a lot about nature and various events (e.g. forest fire 2023) - you usually don't get this information on your own planned tour...
He also individually goes to the max. 8-person group, takes regular breaks and explains again and again where and for how long you are going on now. Great!!!
The only point deduction is for the winding 1-hour journey - here the stomach is put to a tough test!

Beautiful hike - Beautiful 4 hour hike today around Roque Nublo, Gran Canaria, with hiking guide and great guy Maciej from GC Active Tour. If you are looking to hike on GC, look him up.
At about 1670 meters we hiked through a surprisingly green forest with lots of flowers in bloom. Pictures speak for themselves.
Great weather, blue skies, sun and about 20 degrees C, perfect for hiking.
Roque Nublo is a three rock high point. The boulder (Roque Nublo), the frog watching the rock, and the monk observing the frog.
