Such an amazing surf lesson! - I booked it just two hours in advance and thought it would be a group session ,turns out it was just me! But that has been even better, because I got 1.5 hours of full focus and personal guidance. Mat, the instructor, did an awesome job explaining everything and showing the techniques clearly. They also provided a hat and a shirt for the session, which was very helpful under the sun. While we were surfing, a friend of the surf school filmed us with a drone, you can buy the footage afterwards for 150,000 IDR. I had so much fun and can totally recommend it!

Fabulous experience and caught some waves!! - The instructors were so awesome with me despite my apparent lack of talent. They were helpful and kind and I eventually managed to ride a few waves. I really would recommend this place.

Excellent experience for a beginner surfer - Great experience, never surfed before learnt the basics of standing up on the board aswell as paddling before getting in the water.

Highlight of our trip - This was the highlight of our trip to Gili T. We were first time surfers and the instructors were great (Sunny/Randi i think, sorry if i got the names wrong). We managed to surf a few waves following their guidance and had the best time. Would highly recommend the private tuition.

Superb surf in Gili T - Great experience. First timer surfer, super teacher, superb assistance, super support. We took some moments to try the basic on the land and then we go between the waves and start surfing! Sunny surf school is definitely number 1!

surf lesson for beginners - We had a surf lesson for beginners with the guys of Sunny. meeting at 6 am, they provided us with everything - board, jersey, rock shoes- and the lesson started! we were able to ride the first waves and pull ourselves up on the board despite being newbies.

10/10 - Best place to surf in Gili! Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to try it!! Great teachers and so nice guys working there, we had so much fun with them and while surfing!

Surf classes for beginners - It was my first time and I had a great time. My instructor was great, so nice and patient. I totally recommend it. Great way to start your day and try something new!

Not very happy - What you get for your money is someone taking you near the waves and pushing your board when it comes closer. My major concern with this surf school and hence a 2 star review is that the instructors don't really keep a check on where you are. I drifted very far away on the other side and no one happened to notice for long until I got out at the beach and just returned my surf board out of frustration. I've been to a surf school in Portugal before and although their teacher to student ratio was lower, they were responsible enough to know who was where when. I've paid far lower for far better teaching before and I'm honestly a little disappointed. We were 3 people with 2 instructors which I think is a good ratio of teachers to students. But the 2 instructors kept alternating between the two guys with me happily drifting away somewhere in the ocean. It was unpleasant and annoying. At least the other two with me had a decent experience and weren't neglected.
