Chill and Easy Surf Experience - Keoki taught a great class that was truly accessible by people of all levels. All of us stood and caught waves and Keoki was a pleasure to be taught by and to hang out with. This is a great opportunity for a whole family to enjoy surf lessons, as the waves are super mild. It's mostly about learning how to balance and stand up. Highly recommend, always support Hawaiian owned businesses first! 🤙🏽🌈

An incredible experience for the whole family! We love surfing and Hawaii!! - Aloha Ocean Adventures taught my entire family how to surf, and we had an incredible experience. My husband and I took a trip to Maui as a celebration for a milestone birthday and learned to surf with Keoki in May of 2024. We thought it was such an incredible experience that we brought our kids (7 and 5) back in September of 2025, and they also learned with Keoki. The waves at this location are small and gentle, making them incredibly perfect for learning to surf. We absolutely loved our conversations and the way we were taught. Keoki made things so simple. "It's not stressful, it's surfing, just stand up," which shockingly was the outcome for our entire family. Everyone listened to what Keoki said and stood on their very first wave, and surfed safely for the whole lesson. My daughter (5) was afraid to get on a surfboard, but Keoki rode on the back of her board holding her hand while she surfed until she was ready to stand and surf a wave on her own... which she did! She just turned 5, I couldn't believe it! We all loved the stories about Maui and the culture of Hawaii that Keoki shared with us while we were waiting for the right waves to come in. It was a fantastic start to our trip, which helped our whole family appreciate the beauty of the island and the people who call it home. We believe our entire family will be lifelong surfers, and it's a truly wonderful gift. Thank you to Keoki and the whole Aloha Ocean Adventures team.

Learn to surf with Hawaiians! - Aloha! My sister and I took two lessons with Keoki while in Maui and they were absolutely incredible! After practicing on shore my sister stood on the board and rode a full wave her first time in the water! I am a slower learner and am not very coordinated but I was standing and riding waves after about three tries! Aloha Ocean Adventures is owned and run by native Hawaiian people. True descendants of those who created surfing! Not only are you supporting indigenous people but you will learn about the philosophy and life lessons that come along with surfing. Our teacher was Keoki and he was absolutely amazing. We learned so much from him about the island and Hawaiian language and culture! All you need is a swimsuit, they provide a surf shirt and booties to protect your feet! The spot where you learn is beautiful and the waves are fun and not scary at all. Be sure to arrive a little early so you can find parking and use the restroom etc before you bring. Once you touch the water you won't want to leave! Maholo nui loa 🙂‍↕️ Also, we had lunch at the food truck garden place across the street and it was delicious and super cute.

Best Surf Instruction hands down! - Aloha Ocean Adventures is amazing! Surf lessons were the first activity on our family trip to Maui and we couldn't have asked for a better way to kick off our vacation! Keoki was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was so kind to warn us the day before about higher winds and suggested to shift our lesson time to ensure we had safe waves. We were so happy that we did! My husband and son will safely say this was their favorite part of our trip (I watched from the shore and took loads of video). After a little instruction, they paddled out and were catching waves! Keoki was with them the whole time providing tips, encouragement and great company. We booked the semi-private lesson and were fortunate to have the time slot all to ourselves! We saw many other lesson groups... some with perhaps 12 people and appreciated the specialized instruction we received. It was a great experience - one we will never forget! Great time with a great instructor - Awesome experience. My son was able to stand up pretty quickly and had a blast. I dont quite have the hip mobility as him but i was still able to stand a few times on some waves as well. Instructor was knowledgeable and made everything simple and fun. I would definitely go back and do it again

Best surfing experience and instructor Keoki - This was an amazing surf experience and the perfect way to get confident surfing! Me and my brother enjoyed this experience and our instructor Keoki was the absolute best and taught us so much. I highly recommend this experience with this company if your actually want to learn how to surf!

Great for families! - We did surf lessons with our two children, 11 and 12. We had an amazing time! All four of us were able to surf so many waves. Definitely recommend!
