New to snorkeling? Our guides are exceptionally patient and supportive, especially with guests who are new to snorkeling or feel uneasy in the water. They will stay close and even hold your hand as they guide you around the reef.
Not a strong swimmer? We offer fitted life vests ranging from size small to XXL, featuring under-the-leg straps to ensure they stay secure and keep you afloat. Each vest is equipped with a whistle and meets Coast Guard standards. Discover why most guests feel like family after a day with Gabriel’s Ohana. All experience levels are welcome.

We are located along highway 30 at about mile marker 14. You will be sent a text to the phone number you provided with your booking that will have more precise directions. A second text with a google pin will be sent also. It can be used with google maps to bring you right to our location.

Exceptional experience and Customer service - The BEST snorkeling experience ever! We were beginners and Mr.J and Gabrielle were amazing. They were kind, patient and very friendly and not to mention funny. My daughter's I had the most amazing experience. We will be back to snorkel with them for sure! If you are looking for a hands on experience, this one is for you!!!

The best snorkeling experience of my life! - While my mom was visiting me on Maui, we serendipitously found Gabriel’s Ohana on the beach. Jason graciously invited us to join his snorkel tour. Jason was so gentle while helping us set up with our gear and get comfortable in the water. Throughout the tour, I felt full safety and trust with him as our guide. He is a powerhouse of knowledge about the reef and his enthusiasm and expertise helped us experience the magic of the ocean. While snorkeling, Jason would dive down to the bottom to find creatures for us to hold while he shares wisdom about the life underwater. Time didn’t exist on our tour, Jason let us decide when we wanted to swim back to shore. It was clear that Jason genuinely wants to help others, in his words, “make memories”, while interacting with the reef, with love and care for the ocean. This snorkel tour was the highlight of my mom’s trip and one of my favorite experiences on Maui as a resident. I would recommend a snorkel excursion with Gabriel’s Ohana to anyone, tourists and locals alike. With Gabriel’s Ohana, youre getting more than a snorkel tour, you’re experiencing a fun, educational, life-changing, journey into the diverse, magical reefs of Maui.

The best snorkeling experience with the most thoughtful, caring guide! - I really can’t say enough about our snorkeling experience with Gabriel’s Ohana! As someone who had only snorkeled once before (pretty unsuccessfully) and who is a just-okay swimmer, I had some trepidation. Jason put me and everyone in our group at ease by taking us slowly into the water, giving us instructions on how to use the equipment (little tips like baby shampoo in the mask and wearing the strap high on the back of your head make a big difference), and reassuring us that he would look after us in the water. We had non-swimmers in our group who wore life vests and got along perfectly well. Jason knows the reef intimately, and is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the marine life. He dove down to bring up urchins and sea cucumbers for us to hold, returning them to a safe spot when we were done. He led us into parts of the reef where we saw beautiful, diverse corals and fish. Aside from being a visual feast, the trip taught me a great deal. I can truly say it was one of the highlights of my Maui vacation. And when he says it’s unlimited, he means it; my daughter and I tired out before he even suggested going back to shore. Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo, Jason and Gabriel!

Book this now. Incredible experience all round (2 adults, 2 teens, first time snorkelling) - Hands down one of the best experiences we’ve ever had when traveling. True connections were made with the family that runs this business. They were knowledgeable, patient, super supportive of all abilities. There was no rush at all - in fact we were encouraged to go at our own pace and truly explore the reef. We were taught about snorkelling, the reef, the ocean, the animals living in it, and our connection to it all. We saw so many fish and turtles - right off shore. Felt very safe at all times. The beach was stunning, the water was calm, and the reef was enormous. We cannot recommend this business and this tour enough.

Shoreline Snorkelling Spectacular ! - This morning I joined the shoreline snorkelling activity for beginners plus. It was totally amazing. It far surpassed what I could have expected. Not only did we see a variety of marine life. We also had the opportunity to view it up close and even hold it in our hands if we opted to do so. That was awesome. Our instructor/ tour guide Jason encouraged us to experience as much of the reef as we wanted. With the agreement of the group participants, we ventured quite a ways out from shore as we witnessed the coral reef and its inhabitants transition in complexity of size and variety of marine life. For me, it was like swimming between the walls of a coral reef “Grand Canyon”.
This is NOT your ordinary tourist event. I highly recommend giving your business to these folks. You won’t regret it.

Warm, personal snorkeling experience - I had a wonderful experience snorkeling today with Jason. He was wonderfully kind and encouraging and made me feel extremely safe snorkeling much farther from shore than I would do in my own. He has an obvious love for the ocean and its health, and he is very knowledgeable about the sea life and the coral we encountered. He gives you unlimited time, I spent a little over an hour on the water, but he said he’s had groups out there up to 4 hours! If you want a tour with warm, personal attention, Gabriel’s Ohana is for you!

Snorkeling and Kayaking - awesome trip, saw three turtles and so many cool fish snorkeling and the kayaking was cool too. fyi gabriel is 21 and single and his dad jason wants grandbabies soon so hit my boy up!!

Sunny & Fun Excursion!! - The ocean views were so beautiful and they kindly upgraded us to the glass bottom kayaks! We saw so many stunning fish, coral, sea turtles, and we even got to see a Hawaiian Monk Seal on the beach! The guides were so sweet, fun, and full of energy, which made all of us smile and enjoy the teaching and snorkeling! (There were also squirt guns in the boats lol which was fun between siblings and kids sniping each other) Overall, a great snorkeling and kayaking experience!!
