Beginner Surfing Lessons - Ivan & Mike were dolls and attentive to my needs. Great personalities and great instructors. Highly recommend this surf group!!

Highlight of our visit to Maui! - Fantastic experience! Great instruction in a great location. My sister and I were with a small group of beginners and every one of us was able to surf within the first 15 minutes or so. The instructors provided great instruction, taking their time with each of us before we got in the water and once we were in, and while I have taken lessons before, this was the most effective. Before the 2 hours were up I was even able to "steer" my board to go where I wanted to. Add to that the photographer taking action shots from the water, my sister and I had photographic proof for the rest of our family that we were actually surfing :). My sister and I agreed, it was a highlight of our trip.

First Attempt at Surfing - The area is a little crowded but works fine for first timers. There are family friendly beaches a short walk away for people waiting on those taking the lesson. There are also some shops and food truck area just across the street to keep people occupied or for something to do afterwards. The lesson was mellow with a quick tutorial and standing up on a wave. Our group was 5 people and we all had multiple chances to try and ride small waves. Everyone in our group was able to stand up and catch a wave. They have a photographer in the water that will capture some of the attempts and some posed shots. They were available for $40 for one photo or $75 for all of them. I chose the $75 option and got about 20 photos. Totally worth it. There were all ages trying out their first surf lesson around us so it was a no stress opportunity to try out surfing. The water is pretty shallow when you jump/fall off the board and the provided water shoes are pretty thin so if you have better ones it might be worth it to bring your own, but I'm unsure.

Fun first time surfing - Instructor did a great job making sure everyone felt encouraged. He taught to everyone’s strengths and limitations. Great job.

Very fun morning class... - Very fun morning class with Jay. Enthusiastic and encouraging instructor, good equipment, and great area for practising getting up on small waves.

A lot of fun! - Great experience for 17 and 15 year old daughters. The instructor was great with both girls. They had a ton of fun and where up surfing almost immediately.

Ivan made it simple; surf shake delivered! - Ivan was the best. My boys said instructions were great and they accomplished what they set out to do. Ivan explained things well, was relatable, and patient. We highly recommend him, if you have a choice.

Great surfing experience - “Bear” is absolutely awesome. The whole 2-hr session was all on waves and actually it went longer. He enjoyed the same fun as kids and I believed he would extend the time if kids didn’t show up fatigue. Really appreciate his passion and dedication to the job!

Great Beginner Lesson - Great instructor and vibe! Very easy to follow as a beginner! Had so much fun! My instructor name was Ivan not sure the spelling but from Argentina!
