This experience was... - This experience was awesome. Trish was extremely knowledgeable about many topics. She provided facts about Maui and the mountain during the drive and was happy to answer any questions. When we arrived she passed out jackets and chairs and we made our way over to watch the amazing sunset. She then set up her telescope and we all took turns looking at planets and constellations. The sky was filled with the most stars I’ve ever seen. I wasn’t expecting to learn nearly as much as I did. It was a great time and I highly recommend booking this tour.

Amazing! - Trish is awesome! She was very well prepared (i.e., chairs, extra coats, gloves, hats, pants due to the drop in weather at the top of the mountain) and knowledgeable about this tour. My husband and I had a great time, would highly recommend to anyone =)

Perfect tour with perfect views! - Trish was an amazing guide with so much to share about the park and the sky. She got us up safely and was very educated on all parts of the park and history. She took us to the best spots of the park on top and let us take our time. The views were spectacular. We are so happy we went for the sunset visit instead of sunrise to get a better view of the sky. She had a telescope that added an amazing view of some planets and stars. Would highly recommend this tour to everyone!

Weather Cancelled Tour - Our tour guide, Trish, had to cancel the tour due to bad weather, namely very high winds. She offered us an alternative date but we were unavailable then due to having to fly home. Trish was very good at keeping us informed of the situation. We offered her a sizable tip due to her trouble but she refused that. Trish was exceedingly good and we shall greatly miss being able to go on the tour with her. Hopefully we can go with her on a future trip.

Trish is Incredible and so is her Amazing Maui Stars Tour! - This Sunset and Astronomy Tour at Haleakalā was one of the most memorable experiences we had in Maui. From start to finish, everything felt thoughtful, personal, and well-curated. The small group size made a huge difference—it felt intimate and unhurried, and Trish was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging.
The drive up to Haleakalā National Park was stunning, and along the way we learned so much about Maui’s geological history as well as the unique plants and animals that survive in this otherworldly environment. Trish set us up in comfortable chairs in the perfect spot to watch the sun drop under the clouds.
Once the sun set, the experience continued on. Using a telescope, we explored the night sky. Seeing stars and planets so vividly was awe-inspiring, and Trisha's explanations and enthusiasm made it accessible and fascinating, even for beginners.
Comfort was clearly a priority as well—warm jackets, cozy chairs, and hot drinks kept us comfortable despite the cool summit temperatures. It allowed us to fully focus on the beauty around us without distraction.
If you’re looking for an experience that combines natural beauty, education, comfort, and a sense of wonder, this tour is an absolute must. It’s not just a sunset—it’s a journey from Earth to the stars. ⭐🌌

A wonderful evening! - We had a great time with Trish and appreciated her expertise! We loved seeing Haleakala at sunset and staying to view the stars. Seeing the planets through a telescope was really cool. She supplied cold weather gear and hot chocolate which helped us stay warm! Highly recommend this experience!

The highlight of our Maui vacation - A highlight of our vacation. The tour is carefully executed. From weather monitoring, comfortable and drive up the Haleakala Summit in brand new Ford van, to warm clothing for each individual in the group. We get to the summit early enough to setup our camping chairs in best location for viewing the sunset. The star-gazing part quite cool. Trish is like a great astronomy teacher. Very pleasant tour guide with a lot of stories to tell about Haleakala, Maui and even Hawaiian culture.

Fantastic sunset and skywatching - Excellent evening trip. Beautiful sunset. Clear skies with geat views of the Milky Way. Trish had warm parkas and hot chocolate as it was cold. Also able to see the exhibit at the summit and the Silver Swords that were in bloom.
