- The high altitude at the summit area may complicate health conditions and breathing difficulties. Elderly visitors, pregnant women, young children, and those with respiratory or heart conditions should consult their doctor prior to touring. Walk slowly and drink water to avoid dehydration. If you have gone scuba diving, you should wait at least 72 hours before going on this tour.

Comfortable Ride, Great Guide, and Incredible Views - 5 STARS!!!
We were picked up from our condo right on time and transferred to a larger, clean, and comfortable 24-seater bus. Our driver/tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable—I learned so much on this trip! The service was excellent. Dinner was a boxed meal with four choices (Asian salad, turkey, veggie, or mahi-mahi sandwich), followed by coffee, tea, or hot cocoa with cookies for dessert on the way back.
Tip: Dress in layers—it gets chilly! Wear comfy shoes if you plan to hike up, and make sure your camera is ready. The views were AMAZING.

Simply spectacular - Stunningly beautiful sunset from 10,000 ft. The colors of the sky amidst the clouds and lava rocks made for a spectacular experience. Be prepared for how cold it gets up there. You will need a warm jacket! I’d do this again 😊

Spiritual Experience, Great Guide - Preston was amazing. Knowledgeable, funny, helpful and kind. I learned so much I didn’t even know I wanted to learn :) He made a long drive so much fun.
The sunrise experience was spiritual. Finding myself at such a remote space, where few get to go, above the clouds and breathing different air, I really began to feel a connectedness between myself and the planet I hadn’t before.
I can’t recommend this tour enough. You’d be missing something valuable if you don’t go.

Haleakala tour - This was just an amazing experience. The view at the top of Haleakala was just uncreatable!! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable on everything we saw. I would highly recommend this tour to my friends and family. We will also go back next time we are in Maui.

Love Haleakala! - This was an last minute plan for us and we didn't regret it. Randall (I hope i got your name right) was a great host. He drove us to the top skillfully while sharing his knowledge and his personal experiences of growing up in Maui. We enjoyed the sunset at 10,000 ft atop haleakala while having dinner. The crater wasn't visible due to cloud/ fog but we enjoyed the views despite that.

Very good experience.... - Very good experience. Their driver was very entertaining. He was also a very safe ride up and ride down. The food from Kula Lodge was also delicious! Unfortunately the he weather did not cooperate. It was very cloudy so we did not see the sunset.

Beautiful Payoff - The driver was knowledgeable about the culture and history of Haleakala. The meal was great and the experience once we reached the top was great. At the onset of the tour, after getting picked up at our hotel in Lahaina, we went to a secondary meeting location so that we could merge into one group. My only complaint is that we waited at this location for over an hour. They turned off the shuttle and it was 85 degrees so very hot. It was so windy it was difficult to stand outside. We were at a Safeway but we were never sure when the other shuttle was arriving so we didn’t want to venture off. It is already a long day, maybe there is a way to time this part of the tour a bit better.

Should be a 4 hour tour instead of 8!!! - The sunset views were absolutely breathtaking and beautiful! The best part of the whole tour was the time spend at the top of the mountain. The bus picked us up at 2pm from our hotel, and dropped us off at 9:30 pm. Arrived at sunset location at 5, sunset was 6:40 pm. Headed back down around 7pm. So much of the time was wasted picking up and dropping off everyone that was on the tour from their hotels. We spend 4 1/2 hours of the tour doing nothing. That’s not a full tour and not worth my time. Time management and arranging pickups is not their priority. Recommend driving your own car up the mountain and back unless you want to spend the day picking up tourists for a full bus. Their priority is a full bus verses giving you the best experience.
