Won't go with anyone else from now on - We went whale watching with Captain Makiya and Krista. They were both excellent. Krista was knowledgeable, informing us without being intrusive. Also, she served the non-alcoholic drinks that are included in the trip. Makiya captained with skill, and was more than willing to cover a lot of ground (water?) to get us to the best places to experience whale interaction. We have come to Maui at whale time for years, and do a whale watch every time, but this was our first experience with Magic Merman. It won't be the last, and will only be with them from this time forward.

Whale watching! - Second trip with this group. Both trips up close and personal with the whales and both trips with completely different behavior. Crew very experienced and knows how to get quality encounters that the whales even seem to enjoy! No squinting at humps in the distance here.

Whale watching tour - Convenient location at Whalers Village. Knowledgeable captain and marine biology training about whales. Had a speaker to list to the whales.

Ended our year with the best whale watch! - Yay I get to be 5 star review #1,000!!! And there is not a more deserving crew or small business! We did the snorkel and loved it so much we added the whale watch on to the end of our trip. We would have even done a second snorkel if they had the availability. Shasta is an incredibly knowledgeable naturalist and we saw and learned so much. Mahalo!!!

Family Bucket List - This is experience was incredible. The boat is small and safe, built for the Coast Guard. Everyone gets a seat. Boat is covered with a canopy which helps with the sun. The team is small, only a four person company. They truly care about the passengers and the animals. Super knowledgeable and they had a good read on where to take us. We saw a baby whale, a playful guy who stayed at the surface for quite awhile and waved at us several times, slapping his fin in the water. Then at the end, they heard there was a whale competition where males were fighting over a female so we hightailed it over there. Saw at least 6 males, amazing. Obviously if you are prone to motion sickness, be prepared. But they have tricks to help you so speak up if you need it. They also have a cooler of cold drinks on board and sunscreen. They thought of everything to make this experience amazing.

Whale Watching Expertise - Shasta was our guide and she was so personable and knowledgeable about everything whale related! She gave many insights on what to lookout for. She kept us entertained the entire ride. This experience was capped by true professionalism- a rider accidentally dropped her phone into the ocean (20-30 feet) and Shasta made many attempts to dive down to retrieve it and was ultimately successful. This small boat gives the rider an experience with a personal touch. I highly recommend!

10/10 would go again - Amazing experience with a great crew. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgable from start to finish. Booked over the phone with Austin. During the tour, Makiya was the boat driver and Shasta was the onboard naturalist. The tour boat sat about 15-20 people. Shasta shared tons of whale facts. The whale watching experience felt really respectful of the whales. The humpback whales we saw were very active out and we saw lots of fins and tails and spray from blow holes. I got motion sick and was given ginger chews and that helped a lot. Next time I'll remember the Dramamine. I would definitely repeat the whale watching experience! Super fun.

Brilliant experience! - Simply the best boat I've been on to view whales and great captain and crew/naturalist. For end of season moms, babes, and escorts still around and active and captain was always taking us to best viewing positions - legal too!
