Great whale watching with Makai - It was a fantastic experience. Crew was great. Got super lucky with a curious whale that circled us for30 minutes. Levi, Dani were super knowledgeable and professional. Nice new boat by the way. Highly recommend this anyone considering this.

Beautiful Maui Experience - Easily one of the top experiences I’ve shared with my family. Levi and Kirsten were knowledgeable and friendly, and gave a top-notch personalized tour. I felt safe with them handling the boat as our captains, and they made the entire experience incredible and memorable. If I booked this again, I’d request the two of them.

Best of the best Maui snorkeling trips & crew! - This was our favorite snorkeling trip in the 18 years we have been coming to Maui! Levi @ Lainie we’re very knowledgeable as well as fun! We saw a huge pod of dolphins, tons of colorful fish & many wonderful honu! Every spot we went to delivered and then some! We look forward to coming back to see whales with you next time! Perfect private snorkel trip - We had the best trip!! Rented a private snorkel charter for our group of 15. Captain Kevin and Lainey took great care of us. They were friendly and fun and awesome hosts. Everyone in our group thought it was the best excursion we did all week in Maui. They provided amazing banana bread and fruit for breakfast and the perfect sandwich picnic lunch. Even though the winds made it harder to find snorkel spots they worked to find us some amazing calm spots that were beautiful. Seeing Lanai by boat is a unique experience with beautiful scenery and rock formations. We had a hard time finding a boat charter the right size for our group that wasn’t an inflatable but Makai adventures came through with a great boat the perfect size. Would definitely recommend!!

Excellent tour - FAR better than Molokini and worth every penny. - This was an EXCELLENT tour! Family of four with a 15 and 18 year-old, and we all loved it. Highly recommend doing the six hour tour over the four hour, as it allows you to snorkel in the best conditions on that particular day. There was a southern swell the day we went, so the guides checked several snorkel spots that were too rough. The beauty of this length cruise is that we were able to spend the time to travel far enough around Lanai to snorkel where it was exceptionally calm and clear. We snorkeled at the first spot, then came back to the boat for a light breakfast of banana bread and fresh fruit. We hit two more snorkel spots, then had a great lunch made by a local restaurant. Two of us had the poke bowl and raved about it. The other two had a sandwich and wrap that was also very good. They also provided drinks, chips and cookies. There was an emergency-use head on the boat, so there is a bathroom if needed. Levi was our captain and was excellent. Matthew was the first mate and gave us some wonderful suggestions for things to do on Maui that I’d never done before (after many trips to the island). Both of them were a lot of fun and made the trip even better. I would strongly recommend taking this adventure over Molokini. We were the only people snorkeling at each spot, and the boat only takes 18 people. The boat was comfortable, with bench seats and a backrest. Watching a dozen boats flood into Molokini every morning, knowing there were 75+ people on each one, reminded us daily of how glad we were we chose this. The water was a good depth (not too deep) and we saw a ton of fish and a fun pod of dolphins too. All snorkeling equipment was provided, or you could bring your own. This was a definite highlight of our trip!
