• Hana Highway - Road to Hana - The Hana Highway stretches 64.4 miles (103.6 km) and is renowned as the longest coastal scenic route globally. East of Kalepa Bridge, it extends to Kipahulu as Hawaii Route 31 (the Piilani Highway). This journey includes 59 single-lane bridges and over 640 turns and curves through lush tropical rainforest. Many of the concrete and steel bridges date back to 1910.
• Paia - Just four miles from Kahului on your drive to Hāna, you’ll find the historic town of Pāʻia on Maui’s north coast. Split into Lower Pāʻia and Pāʻia, this welcoming community was once a thriving plantation town during Maui’s sugar cane industry boom. Today, Pāʻia features colorful, rustic storefronts housing local art galleries, unique shopping boutiques, and restaurants.
• Ho’okipa Beach Park - Known as the windsurfing capital of the world, Ho’okipa Beach offers a spectacle of windsurfers, kiteboarders, and surfers tackling the ocean’s waves and winds. It’s also a haven for the Threatened Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle, with 200-pound turtles feeding along the shore and basking on the beach.
• Twin Falls Maui - Twin Falls is the first easily accessible series of waterfalls and pools on the Road to Hana.
• Haipua’ena Falls - Haipua’ena Falls is a small waterfall and pool along the popular Road to Hana. Due to its unsigned trail and short, often muddy hike, it sees fewer visitors than the well-marked falls along the route.
• Ke‘anae Point - This area features small Hawaiian villages striving to live traditionally, with pig hunting and the cultivation of taro, breadfruit, and bananas being integral to daily life. It’s also home to the famous Half Way to Hana Snack stand, offering shave ice, fresh coconut, cold drinks, and the Original Fresh Baked Banana Bread. The Keanae overlook and peninsula provide views of one of Hawaii’s largest taro farms.
• Aunty Sandy’s Banana Bread - In 1983, Aunty Sandy Hueu started baking her renowned banana bread in Keʻanae, Maui. By 2003, her daughter Tammy joined the business, creating an authentic family-owned food stand on the Keʻanae peninsula. Aunty Sandy’s has since become a must-visit spot for hot, freshly baked banana bread.
• Ching’s Pond - A highly photogenic location perfect for capturing daring moments.
• Upper Waikani Falls - Often called Three Bears, Upper Waikani Falls features three parallel falls of varying lengths, with the smallest being the “baby bear” falls on the right.
• Wailua Falls - Wailua Falls is a picturesque and easily accessible waterfall visible from The Hana Highway. You don’t even need to leave your car to see it!
• Hana Lava Tubes - Formed by massive lava flows that cooled on the surface, creating an insulating conduit for the lava beneath, these tubes acted like the veins of the volcano, channeling lava for miles underground before depositing it as new landmass. Ka’eleku Cave is the largest known accessible lava tube on Maui.
• Hana Bay - Hana Beach Park, located within Hana Bay, features a long black-sand beach and is the safest swimming spot along the East Maui coast. The bay is protected by a coral reef and its curved shape shields it from large swells.
• Wai’anapanapa State Park - Famous for its Black Sand Beach, Wai’anapanapa State Park offers stunning views of the cobalt blue ocean against black sand and lava rocks from a recent flow 10,000 years ago. It’s an ideal spot for a relaxing hour, enjoying one of the island’s most beautiful locations. The park provides nearly 360-degree panoramic views, with green jungle hills and valleys giving way to a rugged black basalt lava coastline, and the deep blue ocean waves crashing dramatically against the cliffs.
• Pua’a Ka’a State Park - The waterfall here is easily accessible, and many enjoy a dip in the chilly waters on a hot day. Remember to wear a swimsuit, bring a change of clothes, and don’t forget towels.
• Upper Waikani Falls - Located just beyond Mile Marker 19 on the mauka (mountain) side of Hana Highway, Upper Waikani Falls is often referred to as Three Bears, featuring three parallel falls of varying lengths, with the smallest being the “baby bear” falls on the right.
• Wailua Valley State Wayside Park - Wailua Valley, an ahupuaʼa just past the Keanae peninsula on the road to Hana, is rich in Hawaiian culture. The area is home to rare culturally significant fish and plant life, and many ancient taro patches, some still in operation. In Hawaiian legend, taro is considered the older brother of all Hawaiians, making land cultivation a deeply ingrained principle for the people of Wailuanui.
• Keanae Lookout - This lookout offers a beautiful view that provides a sense of ancient Hawaii, as if you’ve glimpsed back in time at untouched Maui.
• Honomanu - Just beyond Kaumahina State Wayside Park, a pullout offers a good view of Honomanu Bay. From here, you can also see the Ke’anae Peninsula. However, the views from Kaumahina Wayside Park are superior, so be sure to stop there if you can.
• Kaumahina State Wayside Park - Located 28.3 miles east of Kahului and 22.4 miles west of Hana along the Hana Highway, Kaumahina State Wayside Park spans 7.8 acres of forest and exotic plants.
• Eucalyptus Rainbow Trees - These unique trees display bright shades of green, blue, purple, orange, and maroon as their bark sheds throughout the year. Hawaii is home to many of these beautiful trees, which can grow up to 200 feet tall. Many consider the rainbow eucalyptus the most beautiful tree on earth.

• Accessibility Notice Please note that our tour is not wheelchair accessible. Due to federal and state safety regulations, we are unable to accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, or similar mobility devices on board, as our vehicle is not ADA-compliant and such items may pose safety hazards during travel. Canes are permitted, but walking sticks are not allowed. There is a low step to board the van, and all guests must be able to get on and off the vehicle independently, without assistance from the driver. Most Road to Hana tours operated legally have similar restrictions, as ADA-compliant vans are wider and subject to different regulations.
