- 13 Palekana St - Our intimate group classes provide personalized attention and guidance to help you create your masterpiece! In our 1.5-2 hour, step-by-step class, you will learn various techniques while enjoying Hawaiian pupus (appetizers) and non-alcoholic island drinks! Feel free to bring your own beverages.
The workshop fee includes one medium-large bamboo cheese board and one small board for practice. We also offer other uniquely shaped boards for an additional cost.
*Once your board is finished, it will need to cure for 24 hours before it is ready to take home. We will package your board for travel, and shipping and delivery options are available at an extra charge.
We provide gloves, aprons, and all necessary equipment. Your instructor will introduce all the tools and materials to ensure you are comfortable before beginning the process, including:
- Prepping your board and taping
- Measuring, mixing, and pouring the resin
- Selecting and blending colors
- Marbling and lacing techniques to achieve water and wave effects. Feel free to bring any special shells, etc. We also have a wide variety available.

Amazing class on Maui - Amazing class!!! Well worth taking!! Patient and kind instructor. You do not need to be crafty to take this. Snacks/drinks included and you get to take your art home. 100%recommend !!

One of the best experiences of our vacation! - Dara made this an amazing experience from start to finish! She was the most gracious of hosts and made the experience so much fun for all of us. We were greeted with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies (which were some of the best I've ever had) and ice cold beverages upon arrival.
Her prices for the upgraded boards are very reasonable. Her tutorial if the resin design was very easy to follow, leaving us with beautiful custom made keep sakes from our family vacation.
I would HIGHLY recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Maui and seeking a family oriented excursion.

I so highly recommend this! So fun! - Yesterday I had a wonderful experience at Kai Luna Creations. I took a class by Dara and it was such a wonderful experience. Dara is such a warm and welcoming person and such a great teacher. The resin art that she teaches is so beautiful and it connects me with Hawaii. I am local but either way, if you are local or a visitor, this is such a great way to spend a morning or an afternoon, and you get special piece of art that is so unique and amazing. It costs so little too, so worth it! I am going to go0 back and take all of Dara's classes. (Sirena Johnson)

• A Creature, Fun, and Relaxing Maui Experience! - Had an amazing time at Kai Luna Creations in Pa’ia for the Ocean Resin charcuterie board class with the Wounded Warrior Project! The outdoor setting was cute with fans that kept the Maui heat bearable, and parking was easy on the street (not the GPS driveway). The bathroom inside was super clean and stylish, and the dogs inside didn’t even react when I walked through.
The studio outside was adorable, showcasing beautiful resin projects for sale. They served cold juices, fresh pineapple, and incredible homemade chocolate chip cookies in a stunning ocean resin cookie jar—such a thoughtful touch. The instructor guided us step-by-step and gave both group and individual help, encouraging everyone who needed it. The assistant was so kind, and the photographer took awesome action shots that they shared in a great IG story.
The projects stay to cure, get sanded, and oiled, and you’re contacted when they’re ready for pickup. I’m so excited to get mine and already planning to come back with friends. Highly recommend this class—fun, creative, and such a relaxing experience on Maui!

Loved this class!! Best craft class I have been to! - My 13 year old daughter and I went and it was one of the best things we did on our trip!! It was so much fun and Dara was amazing!! Dara is so educational and helpful our boards turned out amazing!!!

The BEST creative resin board class! - If you are looking for a fun, creative class on Maui this is the one to take! We loved this class! It was our second time taking it, and we were not disappointed. Dara makes it so fun and is so talented. Her setup is lovely, so comfortable, and she even provides snacks! Loved creating our boards and ornament with her and having a beautiful piece to take home. Don’t miss it!

Making waves and memories in Maui - We visited Kai Luna Creations on our first full day in Maui, and it was an unforgettable experience! We were warmly greeted by the vibrant and sunny Dara, who invited us into her beautiful garden. Under the gazebo, we found sweet pineapple, refreshing drinks, freshly baked cookies, and workstations all set up and ready for us. We even got to choose our own apron colors and received a beautiful plumeria flower for our hair—such a lovely touch!
Dara was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. Throughout the class, she guided us through choosing our boards, selecting colors (all of which we later saw reflected in the beaches and during our visit to the Molokini Crater), and the step-by-step process of creating our artwork. What really stood out was that we began by practicing on sample boards, which helped us understand our preferences before starting our final pieces.
The entire lesson was peaceful and inspiring. We enjoyed the music, Dara’s amazing stories, and her attentive guidance making our waves. All three of us would definitely recommend this as a perfect way to start your Maui vacation—not only for the wonderful memories but also for the beautiful, personalized keepsakes you'll take home.

Fun Experience - Great experience!! We loved the class, going in we had no previous experience with resin but our boards turned out amazing! We were guided through the entire experience leading to amazing results.
