"Hana Harmony" - Aloha! We can't express how much we enjoyed our adventure on the Road to Hana with Hawaii by Storm and, most importantly, our driver/guide Charleston!!! From when we were picked up to when we were dropped off, Charleston enriched us with the culture, history, and horticulture of Hawaii at every twist, turn, and stop along the way. Charleston was polite, respectful, fun, patient, and engaging with the whole group. Along the way, he had an "Aloha" or "Mahalo" for everyone we passed, and everyone kept telling us we got the best guide/driver in Maui. Ask him about his family Aumakua, it's a good story. Stops for Aunt Sandys's Famous Banana Bread, walking and swimming along black sand beaches, and my personal favorite, jumping from the top of a waterfall (not gonna lie, it took a minute to get the courage), were just a few things that made this ride so great. We were a large group of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids), and we had the Expedition, which had plenty of room for all of us and our stuff, which was recommended by Hawaii by Storm to bring along...take their advice. The SUV was clean, and they provided a cooler with water and juice for the ride. You have the option to make a stop to pick up any additional items you may want before starting on Hana Road. We were referred to Hawaii by Storm by another friend who used them last year, they were spot on with the recommendation. I reached out to Sean by email and was responded to quickly, answering all of my questions and given additional information without the need to ask. He was patient for my response, and we scheduled with ease. We highly recommend Hawaii by Storm and ask if Charleston is available; you won't regret it! Mahalo!

Fun Run to Hana Day! - My husband and I brought our two boys (age 9 and 11) with us to Maui. We decided to book this private tour and let someone else do all the driving and planning for the Road to Hana. I knew the boys would love the open air Bronco as well. Mark was an amazing tour guide! He asked us questions on what we were wanting to do and see. Then he made sure to make it happen! We loved hearing his stories and the history of the Island. His recommendations for lunch were great (The Original Huli Huli Chicken). It rained most of the trip, so unfortunately we weren’t able to have to top off much. But as soon as we saw some sun, he would pop it off. Mark was always willing to take pictures of us. He even would grab our camera when he found something cool to take a picture of. Mark knew so many people along the road and in Hana. He was born in Maui and raised in the Hawaiian islands. Loved hearing his perspective of things. Overall this was an amazing day. We never would have had such a great experience had we not had a local guide in such an awesome ride. Our boys loved it and asked if Mark was going to come hang out with us again while we were in Maui! I highly recommend this tour and would do it again!

Road to Hana - If you don’t like driving curvy roads, this is for you! All day excursion with Mark as our driver. We started with Mark picking us up at our hotels. So convenient! Then off on our drive. Hit all the highlights including the famous black sand beach in Wai'anapanapa State Park which they acquired the reservation. They do supply water and made multiple stops for banana bread at Aunt Sandy’s, Lunch wherever you want and great ice cream at Halfway to Hana on the way back. Mark was a delight and kept the laughs coming! Highly recommend!

Hawaii by Fun! - We had a blast on our full day private tour of The Road to Hana. We decided to hire a private driver so that we could all enjoy the day without worrying about driving or planning where to go but also so that we would have flexibility to do what we wanted. At the start of our day, our guide, Dustyn, asked if we were doers or sightseers and this helped tailor the day to our needs. Dustyn did not disappoint and was so fun and able to tailor our experience to what we hoped. As a multi generation native Hawaiian, Dustyn had lots of info on the history of Maui and shared stories of his family history with us. If you tour with Dustyn ask him to take you to his favorite barbecue spot for lunch. It will not disappoint. Booking with Hawaii by Storm was quick and seamless and as we were arriving by ship, pickup at the port was easily arranged from our arrival schedule and our driver was there waiting as promised. The day was well planned with hikes, visits to some fabulous beaches, some lava tubes and to a waterfall to swim later in the day. There were many other moments of the day - the rainbow trees and the yummy banana bread stop were just a couple of these special stops along the way. Mahalo Hawaii by Storm - thanks for a great day

So glad we opted for a tour! - Our family of 6 adults all agreed that opting for a private tour of the road to Hana was the way to go. Although one of us may have felt comfortable driving, it was so much more enjoyable with local guide, Jamie at the wheel. The scenery is spectacular and it would be difficult for the driver to take it all in. Jamie was an excellent driver and knew the road well so we all felt safe. In addition, she knew the best places to stop so we could make the most of our 10 hour day. She made sure we got to swim in a waterfall and eat at Huli Huli chicken on red beach just past Hana. Her knowledge of the history, culture and plant life of Maui was impressive and informative. We learned so much. Do not hesitate to book a private tour with Hawaii by Storm.

Unforgettable day on the road to Hana - One of my best days on a 3 week journey in Hawaii. From the first contact to choose a date, connect for the pick up place to an amazing day on the road. Wherever I travel I always try to let my guided by locals. As a solo traveller, it’s always a little bit of a question how it will go. Makana was very informative, friendly, entertaining and someone with ‘a good heart’. He did everything to make my road to Hana day unforgettable. I highly recommend this way ( I was in the open bronco jeep) to see how beautiful Maui is

Dustyn is the champion - I don’t know where to begin on the amazingness of this tour. I mean Dustyn was just making one dream after another come true. His driving, wit and knowledge made the day absolutely incredible. Don’t go on the Road to Hana without this Champion.

Road to Hana Amazing Experience! - We are a family of four 2 adults and 2 kids ages 16 and 12. We had the best experience on our road to Hana trip with Mark our tour specialist. The weather was rainy but that was to be expected in January but that didn’t stop us doing anything other than swimming in the waterfalls (we couldn’t do this because of the danger of flash floods). We got some great photos and Mark even captured some amazing shots for us as well as capturing some great family photos too! Oh also the banana bread at Aunty Sandy’s was delicious but we also had some mango bread and chocolate chip and macadamia nut bread from a lovely lady who was situated in a lay-by so leave some room for that, it was sooo good! The stop off at the cacao plantation was so unexpected the guy who made the chocolate from his own grown cacao was so friendly and spoke to us for a while. We bought some chocolate and a delicious scented candle. We couldn’t have asked for a better guy to take us on our tour, we had lots of laughs, he was so friendly and very knowledgeable of Hawaii, which we loved! We really would highly recommend this trip it was a great full on road trip with breathtaking views.

Hawaii by Storm and Jamie their tour guide are the BEST! - Hawaii by Storm literally saved our holiday. We were only on the island for eight days and the company we were initially booked with cancelled on us three days in a row. Thankfully, we were able to rebook with Sean and Hawaii by Storm which turned out to be the highlight of our holiday. We booked with Jamie in the open air Bronco and it was fantastic! Jamie was so knowledgeable about the island, its history, its economy, its wildlife and so much more. She also knew so many of the islanders and introduced us to things I'm sure we never would have learned on our previously booked tour. If you ever go to Maui and haven't done the Hana Road, it is a must but even better, book with Hawaii by Storm and ask for Jamie. You won't be disappointed. And don't forget to stop for lunch at the Huli Huli Chicken - best chicken I've ever had. And believe me as a well traveled 68 year old woman I've had a lot of chicken over the years but I've never tasted anything as good as Huli Huli's .

Great adventure! - We had a great time on our tour with Jaime! She made it fun, safe, and very educational. She was able to tell us about the land, customs, food, language, and history of the area with passion as she has been a lifelong resident. We were given plenty of time to enjoy each spot and did not have any stress navigating the road as she has done so many, many times. Highly recommend this tour company and Jaime as a guide!
