Go to the Maui Ocean Center! - The Maui Ocean Center is a great experience! The Whale 3D show is very interesting and educational! The exhibits have a lot of information and the exhibits themselves are worth seeing! We met the fishing net maker, Greg while visiting the center! He was very informative and very passionate about his homeland! He was such a joy to meet!! This experience was worthwhile, educational, and extremely interesting!

Great experience! - Amazing beautiful sea creatures and the guides were super insightful. We are traveling from San Diego and our guide had attended school in San Diego so it was nice to have a social connection. Very much would recommend.

Great for all ages - This is a wonderful aquarium. I love the sea turtle tank. Both above and below water, they swam over to us,and we could look into their eyes. The shark and ray tank is incredible. I loved the tunnel where they can swim above people, too. It kept even our toddler engaged for quite a while!

Have to see the 3D whale show at the dome! - This was the second time we went. Awesome activity for families with kids! We didn’t have our kids with us this time but still enjoyed ourselves. We were able to read the information signs longer. We watched the 3D whale show and it was amazing! Just wished it was longer. Loved sitting and watching the tank that the sharks were in and walking through the tunnel that went through the tank. Sea life swimming above us. So cool!

Whale movie was cool, but also disappointing. - The Maui aquarium is fantastic. So naturally we were excited to go to the 3D film on humpback whales. It was less than 15 min long and only showed 1 breach at the end of the film. Really? Maui is where the whales come for months every single year, and this is the only breach we get to see up close and personal? The hostess at the beginning said the movie took 3 yrs to make. I expect to see much more for a film that took 3 yrs to make with the whales coming directly to you each year. A little disappointing.

Good but pricey - Since our flight didn’t leave till 7:00 PM we visited the aquarium in the afternoon. It was good to pass some time but felt it was overpriced. Some of the exhibits inside had lightbulbs burned out making it hard to see. The 3D movie was poor quality and we were not able to hear the narration. We did enjoy seeing all the different varieties of fish. We were able to see several of what we saw while snorkeling.

K from Texas - Way too many people inside, makes it hard to see displays. A little crowd control would be very welcomed!

Not worth it if you don’t have small children - No better than any other aquarium in any other city. Not worth the money or a special trip. Might be worth it if you have kids that are too young to snorkel.
