Shore diving in Kaanapali, Maui provides year-round perfect ocean conditions to try scuba diving. Under the guidance of your expert dive instructor, you get to learn the basics of scuba diving by practicing a few skills in shallow water and experience an exhilarating scuba dive. Guests often see turtles, eels, and large schools of tropical fish!

This Beginner Scuba Dive experience takes about 2 hours.

PLEASE READ TO AVOID EXPULSION FROM THE ACTIVITY:

Swimming Ability in the ocean is REQUIRED.

You must wait at sea level for 18 hours to fly, zipline, or ascend Haleakala AFTER your dive(s).

Before scuba diving, you will fill out an important medical statement. You must be able to answer “NO” to each question. Any “YES” ON THE MEDICAL STATEMENT REQUIRES A CLEARANCE FROM YOUR DOCTOR. You can Google “PADI Medical Form” to review this statement.

FAILURE TO ADHERE TO EACH OF THE ABOVE 3 STATEMENTS WILL LEAD TO REMOVAL FROM THE EXPERIENCE WITHOUT A REFUND.

If your swimming ability is misrepresented, it will lead to removal from this beginner scuba dive and NO REFUND.

Banyan Tree Divers Maui provides excellent scuba dives guided by an attentive and professional instructor. Book now to have fun learning to scuba dive!

• Minimum age to participate is 10.
• Guests should be able to carry a minimum of 30 pounds for a short distance.
• After diving you must wait 18 hours to fly or ascend to 1,000 feet or more.
• Guests must be comfortable swimming independently in the ocean to complete this tour. If you book this tour but cannot swim, you forfeit your participation in the experience as well as your right to a refund.
• Must be able to answer NO to each question on the Medical Statement. A YES answer requires a doctor clearance. Failure to secure a doctor clearance when needed forfeits the ability to dive and the right to a refund. Please contact Banyan Tree Divers ahead of time for a copy of the medical form if you have any health concerns that might affect your ability to dive.
• Transportation not included. Please let us know if you will not have a rental car.
• Requires you to swim independently in the deep ocean
• Not recommended for guests with asthma or sinus conditions
