Since 1978, our team has been proudly navigating the waters of Maui, offering guests thrilling snorkeling adventures, romantic sunset cruises, and a variety of other experiences. We are privileged to introduce visitors to the island and its surrounding waters, and as custodians of our cherished culture, we embrace this responsibility with dedication.
Our vessel is among the widest and most stable on the island, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey for all. We offer top-notch equipment, food, beverages, and exceptional customer service.
A snorkeling demonstration is available for individuals of all experience levels. The cost of your charter includes all snorkeling and flotation gear, such as premium silicone masks, snorkels, fins, boogie boards, flotation belts, water noodles, wetsuit tops, optical masks, and large terry beach towels. After enjoying snorkeling, guests can refresh with a “rinse-off” shower using one of our four heated freshwater showers.
- In order to access the vessel, you will need to walk down a pier and step across a gap onto the deck. Crew will be able to assist with the gap.
- Restrooms are accessible via steps down into the cabin and ladder into the restrooms.

Check in location is Slip #56 at Ma'alaea Harbor on Oceanside Pier. Ali'i Nui Sailing Charters. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to departure for the check-in process.

Do the snorkeling trip and have the best day ever! - We did the upper level premium snorkel experience and I highly recommend it! Our day was fantastic with a fun and adventurous staff who really went out of their way to make it special! We saw whales, beautiful fish, etc , and we had a top knotch trip!
Note, We could not go to the second location for snorkeling due to water issues, so they gave us the option to stay and snorkel where we were or to sail. We all decided to sail and it was great!

Unforgettable Snorkeling & Whale Watching on the Alii Kai with Alii Nui Sailing Charters! - Our day with Alii Nui Sailing Charters aboard the Alii Kai was absolutely incredible and one of the best experiences we had in Maui! We did the Molokini Deluxe Snorkel Sail, and from the moment we stepped on board, everything was top-notch.
Captain Justin and deckhand Pedro were amazing—super friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about giving everyone a fantastic time. They made us feel welcomed, safe, and well taken care of the entire trip.
We opted for the Premium Top Deck Seating, and it was 100% worth the extra cost. The added comfort, personal service, and panoramic views made the experience feel luxurious and relaxing. Watching whales breach from the top deck was nothing short of magical!
The snorkeling at Molokini was just as amazing—crystal-clear water, vibrant marine life, and plenty of time to explore. The crew provided great gear and made sure everyone, from beginners to experienced snorkelers, had an enjoyable time in the water.
I highly recommend Alii Nui Sailing Charters and the Alii Kai—especially if you want a memorable, high-end ocean adventure. Don’t skip the top deck upgrade—you’ll thank yourself later!

Great adventure - Great crew, great boat, great experience. Recommend the top deck option. Bre was a fantastic captain. And Cat took great care of us throughout the whole adventure.

Bulna family trip - It was the highlight of my trip, worth every penny, the service was excellent, they treated us like royalty. They help with my small children
Jump in the water with them and made them feel loved and safe !!!!
Everyone was amazing
Joanna was beyond, I don’t know how to swim and I was snorkeling, jumping out the boat

We are going back in December and we will deff do this again!!!!
Also the food was phenomenal. 5 starts for sure !!!!! I did not wanted to leave

The best boat by far!! You won’t regret it! - The best trip!! We have done multiple snorkels to Molokini over the years typically on the big boats that take hundreds of people. This smaller luxury trip was recommended by multiple locals and snorkel shops so we decided to try it and so glad we did! The food was fantastic, the crew was amazing and by far our favorite boating day ever! We will do this trip again over the other boats when we come back. Hot food, towels provided, nice snorkel gear and the perfect whale watching surprise on our way back! Not an overcrowded boat, just the perfect small group and lots of room for everyone on board to be comfortable and spread out!

Great 1/2 day trip - Great service. We upgraded to the top deck, and it was worth the extra money. The food and drinks were good. The guides were very helpful and patient. They did a good job explaining how to use the snorkeling gear. We had a hard time getting the parking app to work and the guide went out of his way to help us resolve the problem.

Just book it - If you’re on the fence about this tour just book it you won’t regret it! I traveled with a family of a mix of never snorkeled to somewhat experienced and they accommodate all levels no problem. Even the 10 year old who can’t swim had a blast! As we were drying off three whales swam by the boat showing off it was pretty cool. We saw so many turtles at the second location it was wild! The customer service is top notch, the food is fresh and there’s tons of it. They come around with fresh fruit and poke, tons of free drink options - I could go on and on but hands down a great experience for us and we will be booking with them in the future!

Ali’i Kai. Snorkel & Sail on Maui - We had a great experience with weather, sailing, food, snorkeling , and crew.
This is an early morning sail to the Molokini crater.
The staff was above exceptional in friendliness, professionalism and warm Aloha hospitality.
Captain Bree (Bri ?) was wonderful. She is a total professional and greeted each and every passenger at the dock with a warm and genuine welcome. She has a way of doing her job, and at the same time she is spending time with the guests and sharing her boat and island with us
Breakfast was served immediately and had wonderful choices including some of the best banana bread on the islands.
We were soon underway and saw dozens and dozens of whales as we sailed to Molokini. Amazing sightings!
We snorkeled at Molokini for at least an hour. Conditions were excellent and the Captain picked a great spot at the edge of a reef.
The sail back meant dozens of whale sightings and breaching and a lunch that was just as good as breakfast. Open bar the entire time with plenty of soft drinks and juice offerings in addition to mimosas and beer, wine, liquors.
The ship has a photographic professional on board (yay, Chloe) and she caught wonderful pics on board and in and under water that were available to download for a small fee.
Towels are provided along with all the snorkel gear
The staff made rounds constantly checking if we needed or wanted anything. Amazing!
Come for the snorkeling. Be wowed and amazed at the food, boat (it’s beautiful!), whales, and most of all a crew that works in harmony, spends time with the guests, and obviously love working with their Captain

Fabulous day on a boat - Snorkeling at Molokini is some of the best that you will experience. The Clearwater and radio fish are unmatched. The Alii nui folks are also top-notch. The boat and service were exemplary. We saw it all- fish, turtles and whales. Highlight was to hear the whale songs while snorkeling!
