Amazing experience for brand new surfers - Jedi and Dan were amazing teachers. The location was easy to find and had PortaPotties available that were in good shape. The location was fairly private, as advertised, and the waves were manageable for brand new surfers. The length of the session was more than enough for us - we were exhausted afterwards. We each got a handful of good rides. We were happy with the price and made sure to include a solid tip for each of us.

60 year old surfer girls - Very organized. Jedi was an amazing instructor. He was so encouraging, even when we “dismounted” the board. Great experience!!!!!!!!

Would go again for sure! - Very nice experience, with our teacher Jedi. First time surfing for us, very helpful and patient. And the view was perfect on the mountain!

Fantastic Surf Lesson - My son and I went for surfing lessons during our stay on Maui and opted for Maui Surfer Girls. We had a fantastic time as the location was easy to access and the instructor (Jedi) was a patient mentor for two beginners. We were both able to get up on the board a few times to ride waves in to the beach by the end of the lesson. On top of that, the photographer (Mario) documented everything with high resolution photos and we ended up buying the complete package to share with friends and family. If we ever come back we would definitely get a follow up lesson with the Maui Surfer Girls team - mahalo!

Perfect Day on the Water - My lesson with Jedi was stellar. He was patient and encouraging with us and the vibe was chill. He found excellent waves for me and kept our energy high. Absolutely recommend Maui Surfer Girls!

Amazing 2 days of lessons for the family - Amazing 2 days of lessons for myself and 2 kids (ages 8 and 11). All the instructors (Natalie, Andrew, Jedi) were awesome and both days of lessons were perfect. Special shout out to Jedi for really engaging my 8 yo son, they even had a dance contest at the end! So fun.

Amazing experience! - Had an amazing time out in the waves with Maui Surfer Girls! It was my very first time out on a surf board and I would highly recommend if you’ve been wanting to give surfing a try! Our instructor, Andrew Goldberg, was super patient with me and extremely knowledgeable. He gave great instructions and had me up on the board super quick! I felt safe the entire time which was great as I was a bit nervous when we first arrived. Andrew was so supportive and made sure we had a great experience out in the water, I highly recommend booking a lesson. It was an incredible time that I’ll never forget!!

A fantastic experience! - Maggie was a wonderful instructor, patient and knowledgable! My experience with Maui Surfer Girls was incredible. The spot was gorgeous, with the mountain on one side of the beach, and Lanai and Kaho'olawe in the horizon on the ocean side. If you're nervous about your class, don't worry. You're going to have the time of your life!

Highly recommend! - We had the best experience with Maui Surfer Girls. Registration was simple and organized- everything was very smooth. We had clear instructions and directions and it wasn’t stressful in any way. Our instructor was Andrew Goldberg and he was so fabulous- he taught my husband, 11-yo son, and me, and was so gracious, patient, and helpful. I was impressed with his ability to connect with my hesitant son and coax him out to surf- all three of us were able to successfully do it. My other son, being younger, had a private lesson with Jedi and the two of them absolutely hit it off. My son popped up immediately and ran circles around the rest of us, certainly a testament to Jedi’s teaching and the value of private instruction. Jedi was fun and encouraging and enthusiastic. Thanks for giving Max such a wonderful experience for his birthday. Highly recommend this group from start to finish!

Highly recommended! Amazing surf lesson experience. Sloane was great! - I couldn't say better things about my experience surfing with Maui Surfer Girls. I was with Sloane and she was an excellent coach. We started by learning the basics on the sand, which was super helpful, then we were in the water for a little over 90 minutes. The waves at Ukumehame were great for a beginner like me, and the weather was beautiful. Sloane was super patient, great at finding the right waves, physically very helpful in "towing" me out (putting her foot on the toe of my board and then paddling out) when my arms got tired from paddling, and giving me a push off into some of the waves. She is a wonderful and natural teacher. I thought the cost was great for a small group, two-hour lesson. Parking was free and easy right off the highway. My family came too and were able to play on the beach and watch me--just note that there isn't a ton of shade at this beach. MSG provides boards, booties (it's a coral bottom), and rash guards (if you don't have your own). There was also a photographer at the site--Jungle Rootz Hawaii--who took nice pictures of the session that you could buy after. If you are looking to learn how to surf, I truly couldn't recommend Maui Surfer Girls, and Sloane, more! Do it!
