Come join us for a night snorkel where a plethora of unique marine life comes to life during the night hours. Safety always being our top priority, we will only go in small groups of 6 or less and each snorkeler will be fully fitted with high end dive lights, life preserver, high end masks, light beaker, and all other equipment needed for this. Other than the sun being down what makes this experience so special is the array of totally unique marine life that comes out to play after sunset, including lobsters, octopus, and night time critters that love to say hi. The snorkel is extremely safe for ages 16+. Please note, you must be able to swim in order to do this activity!
The tour consists of different warm hue lights our guide will adjust during the tour to attract turtles, rays, and more. Again, each of you will have a dive light, a red colored beaker attached to you for further safety precautions, and our guide will have one \

Great time snorkeling - My husband and I had a good time. We saw lots of turtles and we even got to hold a star fish. The guide was great and made sure everyone was safe and enjoying the experience.

Amazing Night Snorkeling Tour with Robbie! - We had an incredible experience on our night snorkeling tour with Robbie! He was friendly, professional, and made everyone feel safe and comfortable right from the start. Robbie gave clear instructions, shared fascinating facts about the marine life, and guided us with so much care and enthusiasm.
The highlight of the night was definitely seeing the turtles up close—it was magical! Robbie made sure everyone had a great view while also respecting the wildlife. His passion for the ocean and its creatures really shone through and made the tour unforgettable.
If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, fun, and attentive guide for a one-of-a-kind snorkeling adventure, we can’t recommend Robbie enough!

Sea Turtles Everywhere!! - Truly one of the highlights of our Maui trip. From start to finish our guide Alec was awesome. The turtles were swimming all around the area he took us too, and the sea life came alive at night. We saw more than 10 turtles. The equipment was top of the line, just everything. Can’t say enough about this small company and their guide, Alec!

Nights are best underwater! - Absolute best snorkel adventure on the island! Rob and Alec did a great job showing us around, catching octo's and keeping everyone safe. Would recommend to anyone!

Awesome experience - Robbie was super helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. He made sure everyone in our group was comfortable and got the most out of the activity. We saw so many turtles, got to hold a starfish and sea urchin, and created memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for a great experience! We highly recommend Robbie and the local business Zephyr Maui!

Sea Turtles Abound!! - If you like snorkeling and you want to see turtles, this is the adventure for you! There are an abundance of turtles, and they swim right up to you. Robbie, the guide, is extremely knowledgeable. In addition to turtles, he brings up starfish, sea urchins, and an octopus (if he can find one) for everybody to hold. Lots of great pictures, as well!!

Best snorkel tour in Maui - If you only do one tour in Maui, make it this one. The small group is outstanding - for our tour it was only the two of us with Robbie. He knew the exact time to head out so we'd get to the turtles just as the sun was setting and they were the most active. We saw so many turtles we lost count, several of them coming right up to us as if to welcome us to their cave. We also saw a white-tip reef shark (harmless, but fun to watch) and a spotted ray. Robbie took lots of great pictures of us with all the different sea life we saw. But this tour is really about the turtles, and they are absolutely majestic to watch up close. Thanks for a great tour Robbie!

Don't miss this unique experience! - Everything the reviews say is true - this is a must-do activity! I am the type of person who is terrified of adventures like this, but for some reason I seek them out and do them no matter how anxious I am (it helped that my husband was very excited about it). I just don't like to let fear cause me to miss unique opportunities. The tour description on their site lays everything out without missing any details, and I'm glad that we were able to support an independent company like Zephyr.
We had Robbie as our guide and he was fantastic. He took us out to the turtle cave spot, made sure no one got left behind at any point, and I felt safe even after the sun went down and things got dark. He took quality photo and video, and AirDropped them all to us at the end of the tour for what we considered to be a very fair price. We saw maybe 10-11 turtles! His reef shark friend was not home, so we did not get to see it. We did get to touch and hold the starfish and red sea urchins, etc.
Things to note:
- If you're a wuss about cold like I am, I highly recommend bringing a full-coverage wetsuit. After the sun went down, I still got cold even with it on, but I didn't worry about mysterious ocean things touching my body like I normally do when I snorkel.
- The swim was not too far (about 1/4 mile), but water got choppy around the reef rocks, so they aren't lying when they say you should be able to swim moderately well.
- Flash lights are provided, and you will wear a blue light on your life jacket so the guide can make sure everyone is present - very helpful.
Thank you to Robbie and team for a great experience, and we will be sure to book more tours with Zephyr when we get back to Maui in another year or so!

Lots of turtles but must be a strong swimmer. - Robbie was our guide and was awesome. He went out of his way to make sure we saw as many turtles as possible and took tons of great photos. The listing does not make it clear that you enter the water from the shore and swim out to the snorkel area. You will meet your guide on the side of the road to get your gear, leave your towels on the rocks and start swimming. If you are not a strong swimmer then do not book this trip. The water does get cold after sunset so a wet suit would have been ideal. If you are ok with this, then I would recommend booking the night swim. You will see gorgeous coral, tons of turtles and fish everywhere.
