Great private lesson! - Great instructor! Knew what he was doing, caught several waves despite meh surf conditions. Pro tip: get an early morning (6/7AM) lesson for better waves.

Highlight of our trip! - From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and checked in. By that point, the nerves had picked up and I started doubting if I was really capable of surfing. My instructor was upbeat, fun, confident, and helped me feel comfortable and confident immediately (both on land and in the water). This experience was a TOP HIGHLIGHT of our trip!! 🌺🤙🏼Mahalo Maui Waveriders Kihei for the incredible experience…and for being a top highlight from our trip! …until next time!! 🤙🏼🌺

Kazuma, Kazuma, Kazuma! :.) - Ask for Kazuma and you’ll be left "me ka mahalo nui loa"—with so much gratitude! Kazuma is the perfect instructor. It honestly felt like surfing with a supportive friend who just happens to be an expert. I joined a small family session on a Tuesday, and ended up booking a second solo session just hours before my flight home two days later. At 43, I had never even come close to touching a surfboard, but I left Maui feeling confident, comfortable, and inspired to keep going. Thanks to Kazuma’s guidance, I feel well equipped to carry this momentum forward and take my surfing to the next level. I HIGHLY, and without reservation, recommend booking with him—whether it’s private, semi-private, or both. You won’t regret it!

Surfing in Kihei - My 5 children, ages 8-17 did a surf lesson during our trip and it was great. They had their lesson with Surf Daddy and he was great with the kids and had some incredible life lessons all based on the ocean and surfing and how it all translates to life, loved his spirit! We felt that they were given great instruction and were safe during their lesson. It was fun watching them all get better throughout the lesson. Several of them said it was their favorite thing they did on Maui.

Really fun and helpful instruction! - As somebody who needed a surfing refreshers, I had a great time during my private surf lesson. Eddy was a fantastic instructor. He got me back up to speed and helped me with my technique. He also made sure that I had the opportunity to catch a lot of waves; I felt like my surfing really improved and that I had a lot of fun.

Surfing in Hawaii. What a thrill! - I had an amazing morning on the water with George. As a 60 something first time surfer I was a little nervous but George took away any nervousness and gave me all the tips I needed. Got up surfing on my second try. Thank you George and Maui Wave Runners for a thrill I have always wanted to experience. Rob

Learned to surf at ages 60, 16 and 19 years of age. - My two teenage children and I learned to surf. The instructor was helpful, though at my age I never mastered the sport despite my snow skiing—but not snow boarding. This was during Covid and the beginners learning area was packed then and in the AM just a little over crowded in my opinion. But as it is a public area I don’t know if that could be changed.
