Road to Hana with Valley Isle Excursions - We had the best tour guide, Spencer. He was very entertaining but also quite informative about island life. He made a long day a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

Amazing tour with a day full of activities - My husband and I had the BEST time on our tour with Spenser! This tour was literally a full day, but went by so quickly and was filled with plenty of stops of bathroom breaks, food/snacks, and most importantly, amazing views. It was so nice to not have to worry about a single thing the entire day - from being picked up at our hotel, lunch provided, and most importantly, navigating the road! Spenser not only navigated expertise and confidence that made our entire group feel at ease among all the twists and turns. He called out so much vegetation, interesting sights, and shared the complex history of Maui and Hawaii to give our group a really good understanding which I really appreciated and valued in understanding the culture. Everything was great - highly recommend so you can enjoy all the views, learn, and relax for the day!

Excellent Trip to Hana with Travis and Valley Isle Excursions - Booked with Valey Isle Excursions to drive the road to Hana. Had a great time and recommend to anyone wanting to see the amazing views and the rainforest that you pass through on the way to Hana. Tour started with on-time pickup from our hotel and a ride across the island for a really good continental breakfast. Then is was on the road with our driver Travis. As a native Hawaiian raised in Hana, Travis had lots of stories and facts about Hawaii and Hana to share. The van was quite comfortable and plenty of water/juice was made available. We stopped at a few shops and such along the way and had a great lunch once we arrived in Hana. Had time to swim and made several stops along the way to see the sights as well as the sea turtles. Great day out on the road and worth the trip!

Exceptional day and a very wise choice! - Loved this tour! Our guide, Paula, was just excellent - well informed on all things 'Road to Hana", as well as flora & fauna, HI history and so many other nuggets of info. We learned so much from her, and it changed our entire vacation for the better. And.....we didn't have to navigate this road on our own, which proved to be a wise choice.

A great day on "The road to Hana" - A great day on the road to Hana. Spencer our guide was very informative and engaging with the small group of 10 on our bus. He has excellent island and cultural knowledge and communicated very well. We enjoyed the opportunity to have a swim, the photo opportunities and stopping to see the sea turtles. We felt very safe with Spencer's driving on this very tight windy road. We highly recommend this tour.

Don't drive the Road to Hana. There is a reason it is nicknamed "The Divorce Highway". - Travis was a very entertaining guide and safe driver. I feel i learned more about this area of Maui than i possibly could have otherwise. While the continental breakfast was not that special, more importantly the lunch was great! The 12 passenger bus was clean and comfortable. There was some road repair underway in four spots along the route and Travis made the wait time pass quickly with entertaining stories and facts about Maui. Tips: Buy the banana bread at the bread stand. Buy some gifts at Auntie Vergy's house beyond Hana. Buy the Hawii Shave (no d!) Ice. YOLO! Highlight for me: seeing the turtles and surfers at Ho'okipa Park. Be sure to bring swim gear to swim in two spots: - Pua'a Ka'a State Wayside Park in the pool at the base of the waterfall - Wai'anapanapa State Park with it's black sand beach Whatever you do, respect the locals and the land.

A must take guided tour and don’t drive yourself - This was an amazing experience from the booking to pick up from the hotel to drop off. This is a must take tour and if you are planning to drive yourself, I would say don’t do it but pay and go on this tour and it’s worth it. Our tour guide was Travis and he was excellent. He was proud of his heritage, people and his country that he shared all what he learned from the book and from his elders. The drive was certainly entertaining and informative.
