Explore the secret wonders tucked away just off the renowned Hana Highway on a waterfalls and rainforest trek in Eastern Maui. This 5-hour adventure leads you deep into one of Hawaii’s most beloved valleys, where a series of waterfalls cascade near each other. On this casual trek, immerse yourself in the pools under the waterfalls, clamber up the columnar basalt rock structures to dive into the water safely, and satiate your hunger with a wholesome lunch.
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Minimum age is 6 years
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements (2 passengers minimum). In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.

- Wear athletic footwear that can get wet and muddy or strong sports sandals like Tevas, Chacos, or Keens.

5 star hike and falls/nature tour - Such a wonderful hike. Angela was an energetic, friendly and all around great tour guide. The falls were fantastic and the opportunity to swim at two falls- incoming a cliff jump (when conditions allow). Learned so much of the history and nature of Maui and also got to taste a few “natural” treats along the hike. They supply each person with a backpack, lunch, poncho and insect repellant (but we didn’t need it). Highly suggest this tour/hike and Angela.

Enjoyable Hike to the Waterfalls - I love to hike, so overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this wet, muddy, slippery hike! I am height-challenged, so there were a few spots where I needed assistance to climb over large fallen tree trunks and step up/down in some spots, but I'm accustomed to this type of challenge & it has yet to stop me from continuing to hike. I highly recommend wearing water-resistant hiking shoes or carry a pair of water shoes to switch into for the waterfalls. Women intending to enter the water should consider wearing a two-piece swimsuit under hiking clothes because it's too dirty in the port-a-potties to pull off exterior clothing & pull-down a one-piece swimsuit to use the facility! Our guide, Grayson, took great care of us in the group and made this hike both educational & entertaining.

Waterfall hike - We did the shorter tour and now wish we would have done the longer one. It is an easy hike into the rainforest. Our guide Michael was fantastic. He lived off the land and truly knows all of the plants and flowers. He took us to an amazing waterfall. It was a refreshing cool lagoon with crisp fresh water. The plants and flowers are exquisite! Definitely book this or the longer tour!

Waterfalls Galore - We had a fantastic experience with our
guide Caden. Super informative and took us to some beautiful waterfalls including a cliff area where we jumped into the falls. Great tour!

Beautiful hike! - Abby was a fantastic guide. Though it was a bit scary, jumping off the boulders and tree into the water was the highlight of the trip!

Groovy Guide - Michael was a great guide. He gave a lot of insight into the culture and nature. We loved the waterfalls. It was the best activity that we did in Maui🌹

Des was amazing...great hike! - Our family of three too this hike with Des last Monday. We were passengers on the cruise Pride Of America. We had to take a quick Uber from the port to the meeting place. We were met with Des and the rest of our group. We traveled by air conditioned van to our starting point. I am NOT an avid hiker, and am coming off of a knee injury. Des was extremely attentive and allowed me to go at my slowed pace, even helping me cross a couple of streams. Wear good water shoes, your feet will get wet. Des showed my husband and adult daughter how to climb up the waterfalls to jump in. Snacks, water, and bug spray were provided. At the end out the tour, once Des found out we were cruise passengers, she kindly returned us to the port to save us from having to catch an Uber.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! - Our experience with Hike Maui was absolutely incredible, and our guide Joel made it unforgettable. From start to finish, the tour felt personal, adventurous, and unlike anything we could have explored on our own. Joel was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about Maui’s history, culture, and hidden beauty.
What really stood out was the access to private and unique areas that most visitors would never get to see. We explored breathtaking spots off the beaten path, away from the crowds, with stunning views, waterfalls, and scenery that felt untouched. Joel made everyone feel comfortable and safe while still keeping the adventure exciting.
If you’re looking for an authentic Maui experience with a guide who truly goes above and beyond, we can’t recommend Hike Maui and Joel enough. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip and a memory we’ll never forget.
