The whales’ conduct during your excursion could allow you to witness various activities such as the whales striking the water surface with their extensive side fins known as pectoral fins, with their tail or ‘flukes’, the peduncle that is the muscle connecting the tail to the body, and the spectacular ‘breach’ where the whale thoroughly surfaces out of water and crashes back into it.

Great whale watch for the price - Best whale watch i could do on maui with shade . We save so many whales and didn’t have to be burning outside in the hot sun because 90 percent of the boat is shaded . would definitely go again the price and service was well worth the cost

The best whale watching tour we have ever done! - This tour was so much fun. We needed assistance with our handicapped family member, and they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The beverages they provided were a nice touch and the announcer gave us a lot of information that we did not already know about whales and marine life. We got some great shots early on and several after that. The price was reasonable enough too. Such a wonderful day in all.

Knowing it was the end of... - Knowing it was the end of the whale watching season we were lucky to see a couple whales were still hanging around. Such a great trip for the whole family!

Whale watching - The captain and crew did a stellar job of providing us with a fantastic experience. The whales were somewhat elusive but they rewarded us with a grand finale. We were able to see a young whale tail flapping and fin slapping- pretty phenomenal.

The boat was changed... - The boat was changed without any upfront warning, so did not match photos or description. The initial meeting at Boss Frogs was pretty chaotic and the staff inside were not helpful. The trip was pleasant out on the water, weather was God and seas were calm. Had one very brief quivk sighting of a young whale but most of trip was sitting in one location trying to spot something. Not the highest end trip out there. I would look for a different trip next time. Likely not worth doing these trips out of season.

POOREST whale watch tour - Because two other whale watching tours (including ours) were canceled and rescheduled for our tour day, the boat was bursting with people who were added to the two remaining tours. There was hardly a place to sit. We were packed onto the boat like sardines. We were surprised that there was no safety briefing done regarding an emergency or floatation devices before we set sail. Is that not a. Coastguard requirement? Luckily we did see some whales, even at the end of the season. The commentary done about the Humpback whales and their presence and migration to Maui was unintelligible. The captain had a vey strong accent and the audio system was poor. Others around us commented that they, too, couldn’t understand anything. I was hoping to learn more about the whales and came away with nothing. Even though our trip was advertised as having an underwater microphone so that passengers could hear whale songs, that didn’t happen either. We had to go to the bar to get our own juice or soda. No one came around or served us anything. This was the WORST whale watch tour we have ever taken on Maui, and over the years we have done quite a few. It was a total waste of money. It was as if they were wrapping up the season and did not care about making it a great experience for the passengers. Very disappointing.

This was our least... - This was our least favorite activity that we did on Maui. They really cram people onto this boat like sardines, you are fighting to have decent seats and don't think about leaving your seat, because someone will swoop in real quick and take it. I wish they would turn away guests who are very clearly sick, coughing and hacking all over everyone else. The bottomless water and soda was pretty awful as well, flat soda, no refills unless you leave your seat (risk losing your seat) and go down to the bar area. Lackluster staff and boat was in poor condition.
