Welcome to the Okavango Delta

Okavango Delta - The safari begins at 0700hrs from Audi Camp with a one-hour boat journey to the mokoro station. From there, guests will board a mokoro for a relaxing trip into the delta, where they will find an island to enjoy lunch and a well-deserved riverside siesta. This wilderness offers a truly calming experience. Visitors will learn about the incredible ecosystem of the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The sunrises and sunsets here are truly breathtaking.

Okavango Delta - Afterward, guests will return to camp for a two-hour late afternoon nature walk. Upon returning to camp, they will enjoy a hot camp shower before dining around a campfire. The campfire is an essential part of the experience, where guests can share their heritage and learn about others. A telescope will enhance the stargazing experience. Guests will then retire to their tents, which are equipped with a stretcher bed, a veranda, and an attached bathroom with a flushable toilet, shower, and sink.

Enjoy the Delta

Okavango Delta - Start the day with a fresh morning greeting over coffee, tea, and rusks! Guests will embark on a three-hour early morning nature walk to connect closely with nature. This experience is highly recommended to set a positive tone for the day. Upon returning around 10 am, guests will enjoy a hearty brunch, followed by a relaxing siesta in the tranquil Delta. After a good rest, guests will take a three-hour mokoro trip, returning to camp just before sunset. Some guests meditate during the cruise, some fall asleep, while others are amazed by the experience. Each guest’s story is unique…

Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a hot shower in the privacy of their en-suite tent and then proceed to a campfire dinner. By this time, guests and their guide will have formed a strong bond after two days of shared experiences.

Say Goodbye to the Delta

Okavango Delta - Wake up to bid farewell to the stunning landscapes, taking away cherished memories. However, the adventure isn’t over yet, as guests will embark on another three-hour morning nature walk, depending on their energy levels. Upon returning around 10 am, guests will have their final brunch before relaxing at the camp. There may be an opportunity to take a dip in the waters, if safety allows. By now, guests will feel like a part of the ecosystem.

After this once-in-a-lifetime experience, guests will return to the mokoro station on a mokoro, reflecting on their delta adventure. An engine-powered boat will then transport them back to Audi Camp for onward transfer to their hotel.

The non-participatory mokoro safari takes you to the Okavango Delta where you will witness a combination of aquatic wildlife, amazing bird species, breathtaking landscapes, tranquil sunrises and sunsets, and incredible stargazing; all in all summed up in one word: unforgettable! We will visit the Eastern delta in a community-controlled wilderness area. We work with some of the most experienced Polers who have mastered the channels and are adept at coexisting with both aquatic and land wildlife.
