Excellent trip #makingmemories - We were up at our hotel by our driver Vicky who chauffeured us on both legs of our journey. Vicky was professional and friendly and when we arrived at our destination, located the jetty for us and explained the return journey arrangements. He was there to meet us ready for our trip home too. The crew were fantastic (3) and made the trip one to remember. The catamaran was very spacious with lots of shaded area for those that required this - for those that wished for the sailing experience there was plenty of space on the front, including lounging on the nets. The details were expertly explained both when boarding and during our trip. There were about 30 sailors in total which worked well and still allowed lots of space. Two toilets were on board if needed. The food was superb - sausages, chicken skewers and tuna were bbq’d by the crew on our journey and these were accompanied by lovely salads - plenty for everyone. Breakfast was fresh croissants and hot drinks. There was a good selection of both alcoholic and non alcohol beverages - the jungle juice packs a punch so be warned!! We saw the waterfall, monkeys, had a great time snorkelling in shallow seas and beautiful fish and spent just over an hour on the island. Nothing felt rushed and timings worked for us. All in all a fabulous day which we would totally recommend. Our intial trip had been cancelled due to ‘catastrophic’ weather conditions but we soon rebooked and felt reassured that safety was key. Our initial trip had been booked some weeks before travel but Viator honoured our original discount code, which was very appreciated.

Relaxation and music on board the catamaran... - On our holiday in Mauritius we decided to join the full day catamaran tour to Ile aux Cerfs (with all inclusive formula). Also included in the package was a round trip from our resort located near Grand Baie. We left at 7.00 from our resort on a private car that took us directly to Pointe Jerome (southeast of the island): meeting point with the other travel companions and embarkation on the catamaran (9.00/9.15). Our group consisted of fifteen people of various nationalities (French, German, Portuguese and Italian) and a team of four who managed everything on the catamaran (it was a Mauritius family with two children). As soon as we set sail we were offered a quick breakfast and described well the tour we were about to face. To get out of the lagoon the catamaran used the engines then in the open sea the sails were deployed and we sailed with the force of the wind. On the way to Ile aux Cerfs we could admire the verdant coast and the crystal clear water above the reef where we stopped for snorkeling (lots of colorful fish, shellfish and starfish). We brought our fins and mask. Afterwards we visited the Grande Riviere waterfall and the noisy family of monkeys who live there on site (we got off momentarily on a boat for this visit). Travelling to Ile aux Cerfs we enjoyed a great barbecue lunch (cooked on board with with ingenious grill cantilevered over the sea). We ate chicken and sausage, couscous, flavored bread and vegetable salad (all very good and large portions). Drinks were also all inclusive and included everything: water, wine, beer, juices, carbonated drinks and super spirits. The mother who was in charge of the kitchen also prepared excellent refreshing cocktails. We disembarked at Ile aux Cerfs around 12.45pm and were given free time to enjoy the island and its white sand. This location is super touristy (many tourists, not relaxing atmosphere): it is equipped for all types of beach and water activities / diving, there are areas with sun loungers and deck chairs, bars, toilets, souvenir shops. We took a ride along the coast and a couple of dips in the sea. We left by catamaran at about 14.30 towards Pointe Jerome where the tour ended (about 16.30/16.40) and our private driver was waiting to take us back to the resort. Along the catamaran ride we relaxed in the sun, drank coke/rum and danced to lots of beautiful music. The family who took us on a trip on their catamaran was very kind, helpful and welcoming. The catamaran was clean and cozy, there was a small bathroom available. We were a small group but we found ourselves very well, we immediately made friends (nice company). It was a beautiful excursion, so much relaxation and fun, we could enjoy the magnificent Mauritius sea. Definitely recommend it

Trip ok - Pick up was great. Trip was ok. Would have preferred another snorkel stop rather than going to the island. Still not everyone is the same so no complaints really.

Not up to what is described at the beginning. - Good , but 45 minutes of snorkeling announced and only 20 minutes in the end , 1h30 of beach at the deer island announced and less than an hour realized, 15 to 18 people on board announced and finally 23 , in short it was good but I prefer when we tell the truth at the start .
