Best tour in Medellín -- Kevin was amazing - Kevin was an absolutely incredible tour guide through Comuna 13—truly one of the highlights of my trip. What made the experience so special is that he actually grew up there, so everything he shared felt personal, real, and deeply meaningful. You’re not just getting a tour—you’re getting a lived history.
He was our English-speaking guide, and he made everything so easy to follow while still keeping it engaging and authentic. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and patient, and he took the time to answer every single question thoughtfully. You can tell he genuinely cares about sharing his community’s story and making sure visitors understand both the past and the present of Comuna 13.
On top of that, the food and coffee he introduced us to were amazing—some of the best I had during my travels. It felt like he curated the experience perfectly, balancing culture, history, and just genuinely good vibes.
We still talk about Kevin and that tour -- it left a lasting impression on us. If you’re visiting Medellín, do yourself a favor and book a tour with him. You’ll walk away with a much deeper appreciation for Comuna 13 and an experience you won’t forget.

Go with a local guide, you won’t regret it! - This tour is led by Kevin, someone who has lived all his life in Comuna 13. We had such a great time those 2.5 hours as he told us in detail about the history of the Comuna (which is also the history of Medellin) and took us to a break dance show, a rap comedy show, and local businesses to learn about coffee and eat great snacks. Great views were plentiful as well and Kevin was always willing to snap a photo of us. My favorite part though was seeing how connected Kevin is to his community and seeks to support them. This is the Comuna 13 tour you want!

Amazing experience with Kevin! - Kevin was absolutely amazing! He is a phenomenal storyteller and made the history of Comuna 13 come alive. We loved the neighborhood breakdancers and graffiti. The coffee and chocolate presentation was so informative, and his auntie’s empanadas are to die for—I got the pork belly and my friend got the chicken and cheese. Also, the best popsicles in Medellin—get the green mango! Stunning views, fascinating (and sad) history, but so full of energy. Don’t hire a guide on the street—Go with Kevin! He grew up in Comuna 13, and he and his family have been part of it for decades. CANNOT RECOMMEND KEVIN ENOUGH!!!

Spectacular - Excellent guide, Vero and Isa were spectacular. They made this experience spectacular. We didn’t just know commune 13, we felt all its history, its resilience and its will. Thanks for this great experience, do not hesitate to live it with the best!!
