Communa 13 - This was the best tour we took while visiting the Medellín area. Our tour guide, Sebastian was knowledgeable and helpful regarding Medellín restaurants, cultural food, art, etc. Traveled with our teenagers and this was their favorite tour. Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere - I was lucky enough to have a private visit Valentina grew up in community 13! She explained the history of the neighborhood showed me the spots with an incredible view! Great guide

Amazing Daniel is very... - Amazing Daniel is very informative and very easy to going. I loved this tour being imbedded in colombia culture and roots.. the community was very active there is do much food and entertainment … its alot good amount of walking especially up stairs and hills so be mindful wear comfy clothing

a good program - This tour included everything I wanted to see, flying over Comuna 13 in a cable car, experiencing six escalators, and strolling through Comuna 13 to admire graffiti art. Sebastian is an excellent tour guide, friendly, knowledgeable，passionate, and sincerely proud of the changes in his hometown. He told us the history of District 13, and also led us through a residential areas to experience the lives of locals. . A very rewarding three hour trip!

Save your money and avoid - Tour is difficult to find and then we had to wait 30 mins after the start time to actually begin.
The guide essentially walked up a very busy route with minimal commentary and we waited at some stops for him to reappear. As one stage he disappeared for ages and no one on the tour had any idea where he’d gone.
Street food consisted of 3 small portions.
The guide could have shared far more information about commune 13 and being more proactive in telling everyone why we were stopping for so long.
Read the commune 13 history on Wikipedia and walk up to the top yourself - you can’t get lost!
