Casual sweet making class in a studio setting. - My girlfriend booked this sweets-making class as a way to experience Japanese culture and food in a different way, rather than sightseeing and eating. I enjoyed the brief history of Japanese sweets and the meaning behind each sweet. I didn't realize that they incorporated seasonal ingredients into each sweet. We had two instructors for four people, and our instructor was Miyuki. She guided us through each step and helped us make sweets that looked amazing and tasted great. We also had a casual tea ceremony to go with the sweets. I found that the matcha bitterness was balanced by the sweets. Overall, I highly recommend doing this unique experience.

What a sweet experience! - The instructor was very knowledgeable and gave us a good introduction to the history and making of Japanese sweets. Got to enjoy the wagashi we made with a tea ceremony. Strongly recommend!
