DAY 1: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES - FES:
Meknes Medina - After breakfast, the operator will meet guests at their hotel to begin the journey to Fes via Ouazzan and the Roman site of Volubilis. After a few hours of driving, they will arrive at Volubilis, a well-preserved Roman site dating back to 225 BC, showcasing some of Morocco’s most…
DAY 1: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES - FES:
Meknes Medina - After breakfast, the operator will meet guests at their hotel to begin the journey to Fes via Ouazzan and the Roman site of Volubilis. After a few hours of driving, they will arrive at Volubilis, a well-preserved Roman site dating back to 225 BC, showcasing some of Morocco’s most stunning mosaics from the 3rd century BC. A guided tour will provide insights into the Roman Empire. The journey continues to Meknes, the Ismaili capital of Morocco, where visitors will see the impressive Bab Mansour gate built by Sultan My Ismail, the granary, and the Sahrij Souani used for irrigation and plantation. The tour also includes a visit to the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. The day concludes with a drive via the highway to Fes, with overnight accommodation at a luxurious riad in the medina, including dinner and breakfast.

DAY 2: EXPLORING FES:
Fes el-Bali - After breakfast at the riad, guests will explore Fes, known as “the Spiritual City of Morocco.” The morning will be spent exploring the Medina and its alleys, visiting sites of cultural and historical significance, including the renowned Al Karaouine Mosque and University (the oldest in the world), the Medrasa Bouanania, the Tanneries, and the Najjarine fountain. After lunch, the tour will proceed outside the Medina to see the Royal Palace gate, walk through the Jewish quarter “the Mellah,” and visit the pottery cooperative. In the afternoon, guests will be driven to one of the fortresses for a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes. Overnight accommodation will be at the same riad.

DAY 3: FES - IFRANE - AZROU - MIDELT - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA:
Merzouga Desert - After breakfast, the journey south to the Merzouga desert begins via Midelt and Errachidia. The first stop is Ifrane city, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” followed by a drive to Merzouga via Midelt and the Ziz Valley. This journey offers glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains, with a stop at the famous cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, where guests can see Barbarian apes. As the journey approaches Errachidia city, the scenery changes to reveal desert landscapes. After lunch in Midelt, the journey continues along the spectacular Ziz Valley, with stops for panoramic views. The drive continues through Berber villages to Erfoud and then to Rissani, the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty, Morocco’s current ruling royal family. Upon arrival in Merzouga at the end of the day, guests are welcomed with a glass of mint tea and a camel ride to witness the sunset amidst Morocco’s highest sand dunes, spending the night there. Overnight at a well-equipped desert camp with dinner.

DAY 4: SAHARA DESERT – TODGHA GORGE – DADES VALLEY:
Dades Gorges - The camel guide will wake guests early to witness what may be the most beautiful sunrise of their lives. Afterward, they will peacefully camel-trek back to the riad, appreciating the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes, which change with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast and a hot shower in a traditional guest house, the journey continues to Tinghir and Todgha gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco, offering an opportunity to hike along the valley. The drive proceeds through the Dades Valley, where guests will see majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes.” Overnight accommodation will be in a riad or guesthouse in the heart of the gorge, including dinner and breakfast.
DAY 5: DADES VALLEY – AIT BENHADDOU KASBAH – MARRAKECH:
Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - After breakfast, the journey continues through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is known as the way of a thousand Kasbahs, offering numerous opportunities for stunning photographs. A stop at Kalaat M’Gouna, “the rose city,” allows guests to purchase rosewater, which will keep linens smelling fresh long after the trip. The journey continues to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa.” Lunch will be at the famous Ait Benhaddou kasbah, the largest in Morocco, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site and famous as a backdrop for many films, including ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ and ‘Gladiator.’ The journey continues through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 m) over the High Atlas Mountains, with a stop to explore the process of making Argan oil at women’s cooperatives before arriving at accommodation in Marrakech, where the tour concludes.
