Kathy did a fantastic... - Kathy did a fantastic job. I learned so much about Melbourne’s history and the wonderful laneway street art scene. She also had some great hidden gems to show me that I never would have seen otherwise. So glad I did this tour!

Cool graffiti streets - There is lots of cool graffiti on the walls which was up to date with commentary on current world events and international women’s day. Free to visit and well worth a look.

Laneways of Melbourne - More than just Street Art - We booked a Laneways of Melbourne tour by MELTours with a cousin who was visiting from Germany. The tour started with an informative history of Melbourne, followed by a walk through not only the laneways full of the iconic street art but also some of Melbourne’s older shopping arcades and the unique areas around Degraves street where Melbournes love of coffee began. The three hour tour was a good length and we appreciated the complimentary coffee stop half way. The tour also went past many of Melbournes finest restaurants and some other great landmarks. We found the tour to be great value for money, very informative and I would recommend to others looking for more than just a wander through the city.

A great way to spend 3 hours - We recently did a Laneways tour with San from MELTours. San was very informative and had a true passion for his city. We started at St Paul's Catherdal. which is a landmark of Melbourne before heading towards the street art laneways. San pointed out some of the famous hard to spot areas while we wandered the various lanes. The 3 hrs flew by. My partner and I really enjoyed our walking tour. Comfortable shoes is a must.

Difficult to Hear the Guide - The starting for the tour was in front of the cathedral- we spent at least 20-minutes trying to hear the history of Melbourne - between the tram, traffic, street and construction noise it was nearly impossible to hear. We should have moved away from the area

A misleading tour name - Our guide was lovely, friendly, and very passionate about the history of Melbourne. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome which was much appreciated. However, we had chosen the Laneways of Melbourne tour as we wanted to explore the laneways and learn of the history and subculture that makes them unique. Unfortunately, the first half of the tour consisted of a detailed general history lesson of Melbourne and a tour of St. Patrick's Cathedral. We did not hear mention about any laneways and did not enter in our first one until the tour was quite literally half over. While the laneway portion of the tour was fascinating, it was very short - a total of 3 laneways and about 45 minutes of the tour. The rest of the time after the laneways portion was spent looking in the city shopping arcades and having a cup of coffee. I felt misled regarding the content of this tour and would have much preferred a condensed tour focusing solely on the laneways.
