Rewarding - I personally was impressed with your knowledge as it flowed naturally rather than facts and figures. This made my experience feel more individual as I noticed you appeared able to do this for each person. For 30 years we have managed up market lodges so I understand detail and making a tour feel personal. Thank you

A wealth of knowledge about the Melbourne sports precinct - Ben took us on a lovely walking tour of Melbourne’s sports precinct. We learned so much about the city’s love of sports, accessibility for all citizens and the unique proximity of sports venues to the city center. We walked throughout the AO tennis grounds and played tennis on the blue courts! I particularly enjoyed learning about Australian Rules football on the practice grounds and entering the huge MCG. Ben was a great storyteller; I loved learning more about the Aussie tennis players. All around great tour for sports enthusiasts!

Melbourne Park Tennis Experience - I booked the Melbourne Park Tennis Experience primarily for my husband, who’s a huge tennis and overall sports fan. We had a small group, which made the experience feel personal and relaxed, and our guide Ben was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about sport. He didn’t just share basic facts — he provided fascinating insights, behind-the-scenes stories, and great historical context that brought everything to life. While tennis at Melbourne Park was the main focus, the tour covered so much more. We also visited the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, learned about cricket traditions, and got clear, interesting explanations of Australian Rules Football. Ben also walked us through the broader downtown Melbourne sports precinct, explaining how all the major stadiums connect and how deeply sport is woven into the city’s culture. My husband was absolutely in his element the entire time, and even as someone who isn’t as sports-obsessed, I found it incredibly interesting and well paced. The highlight of the tour for my husband was getting to hit balls on one of the famous blue courts used at the Australian Open and meeting Thanasi Kokkinakis. If you’re traveling with a sports fan — or just want a unique way to experience Melbourne — I highly recommend this tour. It’s informative, fun, and a fantastic way to appreciate why Melbourne is considered one of the sporting capitals of the world.

AO Access With Tennis Tour - We assumed it was just only a tennis tour but we covered other sports venues in the area. We had great timing because The Australian Open was beginning and our excursion covered access to the grounds to watch qualifying rounds, practices, and merchandise shopping. Greg our tour guide was very knowledgeable about all sports history and its venues.

Needs More Authentic Behind-the-Scenes Access - I would first like to express my sincere appreciation for our guide, Ben. He was very dedicated and professional. Due to a sudden schedule change, he went above and beyond to notify all group members and ensure everyone was informed and coordinated, which was highly commendable. However, compared to my previous experiences with official tours at other Grand Slam venues or major sports stadiums, I must admit this tour fell short of my expectations. The overall experience did not feel as official or immersive as anticipated. Specifically, I have the following observations: 1)Having attended the Australian Open before, I had expected the tour to provide deeper access to iconic and functional areas of the venue. For example, I hoped to see the main arena (Rod Laver Arena), player locker rooms, player tunnels, and the media interview room. Instead, the access felt limited—we only entered the KIA Arena and what appeared to be an unused or secondary court. The experience lacked the "behind-the-scenes" feel and was not as immersive as I had hoped. 2)The one-hour tennis playing session was a great idea and enjoyable. However, it was held at the National Tennis Centre, which felt disconnected from the main Melbourne Park location. This created a sense of fragmentation in the tour's narrative and geography. 3)The tour was advertised as 2.5 hours long, but the actual content related to the Australian Open and the iconic aspects of Melbourne Park felt insufficient. A larger portion of the time could be dedicated to exploring the history, operations, and exclusive areas of the main complex to enhance the value proposition.
