Music & memorabilia - This is an amazing place to visit. It is right next to the FedEx building, just off Beale Street, so very central. My tip would be to go early as I could imagine it would get busy in the height of season. Excellent collection of old memorabilia from musical instruments, clothes, posters and the most amazing jukeboxes. There is a short video when you first arrive to introduce you to what you will see. I would say it is well worth a visit. We bought our tickets on trip advisor before coming on holiday and there is no time on them,so you can buy and not be restricted, just turn up when you want to go.

Fun with music. - This museum was excellent. The headsets and cassette player were very helpful. You were able to do the museum at your own pace. I was able to hear songs from their original soundtrack. Very cool!

Very Inviting and Informative Experience - Enjoyed this very much. The "self guided" tour was at your own pace and very interactive. Gives a history of the Blues and how it ties into Rock&Roll.

Don’t miss this small jewel of a museum! - There are so many precious exhibits in this museum that my review won’t do it justice. My main comment is please go!! This museum offers a fascinating look at the evolution of Memphis music, highlighting the growth of rock, soul, and blues from the early 1900s to today. It’s incredible to see how these genres developed side by side, featuring legendary artists like Elvis Presley and Ike & Tina Turner. As a Memphis native, I was thrilled to spot old music stores that I recognized growing up, old billboards, and even neighborhood histories I didn’t realize had changed over time. The experience begins with a short film that sets the stage for Memphis’ rich musical history. From there, you’re given headphones to enjoy detailed audio guides at various exhibits. But a lot of time will be spent taking pictures and just reading the placards for each exhibit. Although they suggest the visit takes about an hour, we spent over two hours exploring. Parents will appreciate the chance to show kids historical items like plowing tools, record players, and jukeboxes. Beyond music, the museum also delves into the political climate and civil rights movement, adding depth to the story. There’s so much to learn and experience here. If you love music and its history, this is absolutely the place for you!

Birthday trip - Very informative, loved headphones so we can listen about each exhibit. My family had a great experience. We sang and dance to the music we were able to listen from the juke box.

We didn't go because... - We didn't go because Graceland don't give bus rides to there and Sun Studio. We had our heart set to go. We ask an employee where do we catch the bus to go to Beale Street and they said oh we don't have a bus to go there, you would either take a taxi or drive yourself. Well we don't know the area and both my husband and I can't see all that well, so of course we don't want to drive and to take a taxi would be insane. So, with our hearts broken we decided to go home here in Pennsylvania. And F*** everything. We got to Graceland because our Motel was a block away. But that was a disasters . Everything was Military style. And we even had VIP Pass. We won't go back, definitely. We just spent 2,000 dollars on a destroyed trip, that we had our hearts set on.
