Great way to start your trip to Merida - Acanceh was our first stop … amazing. The shared history of this time period by our guide Carlos, made it even more special. His love of this land and it’s history is very apparent. The 4 cenotes were a welcome respite after the hike up the pyramid in Acanceh and the short but, hot bicycle ride to the cenotes. Each very different, and unique.

Best tour yet! - We had an INCREDIBLE experience! I have done many tours in Merida and this was the best by far. Julio, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing. He is kind, funny and patient, as well as very informative. We were able to learn lots of things but not be overwhelmed with information. Julio also knows everybody and everything at Santa Barbara, including the best spots and angles for photos! Julio took the best pictures we got our entire trip. The cenotes are beautiful and mesmerizing, the town, Acanceh was so wonderful, we were able to see the beautiful people, ruins, and day to day life all around us. It was a good amount of time to learn history and see all without getting too hot haha. We recommend bikes if it’s not too hot out. So fun! Bring goggles too because the water is perfectly clear. Thank you Julio and team for a wonderful experience all around.

The Best Cenote Experience - The Santa Barbara cenotes are fantastic and should not be missed. Easy access, 80 degree water and incredible beauty. Good guide experience and plenty of time to swim and enjoy these 4 incredible cenotes. One completely covered and three with different openings. This is an incredible experience that should be on your bucket list.

A Good Day Out - A good day out. A brief drop at Acanceh, where there is a Mayan pyramid on the town square, little information provided, we strolled around. The Santa Barbara site provides facilities. The bikes did not look a good option so we took the transport provided which was fine. The cenotes are all different, and stunning We were fortunate to have no. 2 to ourselves for a short while - magical. We had a meal included at the restaurant, thd food was good.

Bad Food and Service - The visit was spectacular, as having 4 cenotes in the same property is exceptional, however the restaurant service, which is mandatory, as you buy the food in advance, was bad. Although there is not much variety, but the quality of the food was poor, without taste and for example the roast pork fillet, it looked more like a shoe sole. Tough and tasteless. The service was also lousy, there were several waiters, but none of them met our requests except through the waiter assigned to our table. For that reason I left no tip, and a manager came up there knowing that he had refused food, I told him the complaint and instead of offering some other option, he heard and left.
