The journey will begin in downtown Mérida, heading towards the Celestún Biosphere, a vibrant haven teeming with wildlife, mangroves, and freshwater springs. Upon arrival, a guided boat tour through the estuary will be taken, with the primary aim of observing flamingos in their natural environment. During the tour, various bird species, as well as potential sightings of crocodiles and other wildlife, will be encountered. Following the biosphere exploration, a short drive to Celestún Beach, just 20 minutes away, will be made to savor local cuisine and enjoy the beach club’s amenities. The remainder of the afternoon will be dedicated to relaxation and enjoyment on the stunning Yucatán coast.

Amazing experience - Bright day at celestun and the beach, we saw flamingos and many types of birds, my favorite part was the mangrove tunnel. The rest of the day at the beach was too relaxing, the food very rich, I highly recommend this experience.

Eric was a wonderful tour... - Eric was a wonderful tour guide. We enjoyed the experience and learned a lot. We highly recommend the tour. The beach was beautiful and felt like a private beach. Eric made sure we had everything we needed and ensured a great experience.

Wonderful tour and guide! - Eric was an amazing guide! He was very kind and extremely knowledgeable about Celestún and it’s wildlife. We had a wonderful trip. He also took us to a gorgeous beachside restaurant with delicious seafood. It was our last day in Yucatán and we’re so happy this was our last impression of this magical place. We highly recommend this tour, you won’t regret it!

Safe drive wonderful guide knowledgeable about the area and passionate about the bird life - Sergio was a good driver the car was in good condition. Sergio was a great guide, loved what he did and the bird life that he showed us. The beach was beautiful and lunch was nice too.

Best Tour Guide Eric Fuentes - Congratulations on an excellent choice in choosing the Excursion to Celestun Biosphere and Beach Day from Merida. If you have a good fortune of having Eric Fuentes as your tour guide you are in for real treat. First off, driving in Mexico is a little bit different. I would hire Eric Fuentes immediately as a Hollywood chauffeur driver because he is safe, professional, and attentive to his guest needs. The drive was wonderful and the music a perfect blend of English and Spanish. Secondly, Eric’s attention to his guest potentially saved us from a life-threatening allergic reaction. Kether, the love of my life is allergic to shrimp. In English, “no shrimp” means no shrimp. It doesn’t mean less shrimp, or take the shrimp off the plate or cook some more in the same pan. It means, that if this person is exposed to shrimp, they will have a server anaphylaxis reaction which requires immediate medical attention. I am so grateful that Eric was there to catch the miss translation and communicate the nuances in Spanish what being allergic to shrimp means. Seriously, you are in very good hands. Please, if you want, and only if you want, show your appreciation by tipping him well.

Outstanding experience - This tour is a must do!! I would definitely recommend it in December and January. We got to see younger flamingos and or boat tour was fun. The day at the beach was great and our tour guide, Sergio made us feel like family.

Flamingos Fly Away in June - The Flamingos were sparse but our native guide helped us find them as this was the only reason we traveled to Merida. We didn't take any of the tours as we didn't wish to be gone from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm. so we hired a driver as our tour guide.
He was worth every penny. Drove us everywhere we wanted to go and even helped us look for the fabulous tasty habanero liquor called Yzatil. Yum
I wouldn't suggest coming in June as their in mating season and you won't see many of them or have an up close experience, but the ones we did see were totally worth the 102 degrees heat, yep its HOT, HOT HOT or as I say Hot, Hazy, Hell in June getting up to 112 degrees at times.
The Mexican people are wonderful host and very lovely people.

it got canceled and the refund takes up to a week..... very disappointing will not buy another activity with them 👎 - it got canceled and the refund takes about a week, highly disappointed will not buy again .....!! 👎 i expect i full refund sooner than soon 😑😒
