Jorge is the best tour guide ever - This experience is a must. Jorge, the tour guide, made Mayan history come alive and helped make this an unforgettable vacation. He also was so organized, efficient, communicative, and full of humour and knowledge. Wonderful day exploring, eating, and swimming.

Day trip from Merida! - An excellent day trip. Elias picked us up from our hotel in a comfortable air conditioned car. He was very knowledgeable on the area as we drove through. Then he guided us and another group of 4 around Uxmal, with plenty of insights to bring the history to life, and a welcome knack of finding shady spots to stand in while he talked to us about the history and meaning of the various buildings within the Uxmal archeological site! The included lunch at a village taqueria was simple but tasty - best tacos yet!!! The cenotes were well worth the trip and a welcome respite from the heat. (One was open air, the other a semi open cave. Both had steep wooden steps down so not for the infirm!) The day lasted about 7.5 hours. We would definitely recommend.

Excellent day - better than Chichen Itza! - The guides were very friendly and helpful on pick up. We were with Jorge, who was immediately warm and funny. He took us around Uxmal and gave a really in depth tour, with space for both the tourist bits and his own specialist knowledge. The lunch after, whilst delicious, was not three courses. Rather, it was three tacos. Again, very tasty, but we hadn’t had breakfast because we thought it would be more of a feast. Perhaps worth making clear! The cenotes afterwards were very magical with gear provided and a good chunk of time in both of them. Overall, it was a really excellent day, and Jorge was fantastic.

Incredible day of history, culture & adventure - While we had many fun days in Merida and its surroundings (including another trip with the same tour operator to Celestun), this was our family's favorite day. Getting to see Uxmal without crowds - and before the worst of the day's heat kicked in - was incredible, lunch was delicious, and the cenotes were beautiful and refreshing. The second cenote was particularly special - it felt otherworldly to be in the cave. The highlight of the trip was our guide, Jorge. While Uxmal is incredible to look at, it wouldn't have been the same experience without Jorge. His knowledge of the site, appreciation of the culture, and explanation of the surrounding flora and fauna, as well as how environmental choices by Uxmal's founders impacted the city, brought Uxmal alive. It was wonderful to spend the day with Jorge, and a reminder of how a great tour guide can make the trip. All three of us are still talking about what an amazing time we had. If you are lucky enough to book a trip with Jorge, don't hesitate!

Uxmal brought to life by a true expert - This was a highlight of my trip to Mexico, Jorge, our driver and guide went over and above to ensure we had an unforgettable day in the Yucatan, treating us like family. Jorge is incredibly knowledgeable about history and wildlife (and in fact anything). He brought the ruins of Uxmal to life, teaching us how to read the symbols and carvings of each building, telling the story that led to the downfall of the Mayan empire. Jorge's storytelling was evidence-based which the whole group enjoyed, focussing on facts and avoiding unsubstantiated claims that we heard other guides repeating. For this reason the tour feels like you are being led around by a true expert (because you are!). Uxmal itself is much quieter than other well-known sites and offers lots of shaded areas under trees to allow some respite from the sun. This makes for a more intimate and relaxing experience. We were then taken for a traditional Mayan lunch which I was very pleased wasn't at a touristy themed venue, but a very real small family restaurant. The food was delicious and healthy and we really enjoyed the two traditional drinks offered with it, an ice hibiscus tea and a barley drink (a bit like horchata if you've tried that). Again Jorge told us the story of the relevance of the ingredients used and how far their use dated back. Next we visited two Cenotes to cool down. The first was I think our favourite out of the 4 we visited during our whole trip. The water was crystal clear, it wasn't too busy and the walls of the Cenote were teaming with wildlife. Life jackets were provided at both, don't hesitate to get in or you will regret it for the rest of your life! Taking this trip is a no brainer, you could certainly get to Uxmal cheaper by yourself, but you would miss out on the story of the site and on meeting a truly inspirational character (Jorge). The transport was very comfortable and air conditioned and his driving made for a relaxing journey.

Great day trip from Mérida - fun & fascinating - An early (7.30) start for a fantastic day with all morning at Uxmal. Light lunch (Mayan tacos) at family restaurant (clean toilets!). Bring swim gear for the ceynote (steep stairs). Back Mérida around 4.15 Great guide and driver Jorge really brings Mayan world to life at amazing Uxmal (as good as Palenque & Chichén Itzá but different landscape and style). Transport really comfortable w ten of us on 16 seater van.

Excellent tour, great guide - Excellent driver and guide. Full of interesting information and visuals that brought Uxmal to life. Lunch was fresh and tasty, cooked by enthusiastic Mayan family. Cenotes lovely but crowded because it was Easter holidays. Maybe the tour operator could choose less busy cenotes?

Recommended - Wonderful Uxmal Tour. The very professional and well-founded explanations with recent research on Mayan culture. A magnificent experience. The Cenote of Yaal Utzil beautiful. Super recommended. Our guide was Jorge and we found him super professional. The only drawback is that the second cenote was closed so we went to an alternative one that was not so good.
