Informative and Fun! - This was the perfect tour to orient ourselves to the rich history of Mérida. Our guide Max was super friendly, knowledgeable and an excellent presenter. We had plenty of time at each stop to take pictures and get all our questions answered. We highly recommend the tour and Max!

Excellent tour! MAX was an incredible tour guide! - Max was the best tour guide!! He was informative and humorous and answered all of our questions.
The same tour we paid $22 per person for is also FREE! Just show up and tip your tour guide instead!

Excellent Historic Walking Tour of Mérida - This historic walking tour of Mérida was absolutely wonderful and one of the highlights of my visit. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the city’s history to life with so much energy, enthusiasm, and genuine love for Mérida and its culture.
The group was very small, which made the experience feel personal and allowed us to go much deeper into the stories behind the main buildings and the key historical milestones of the city. We weren’t just walking past landmarks — we truly understood their significance, context, and evolution over time.
If you’re interested in history, architecture, and culture, and you want a meaningful, in-depth introduction to Mérida rather than a rushed tour, I highly recommend this experience.

Excellent historical overview - A really lovely overview of the history of Merida, with emphasis on local buildings and their relevance. Gabriella was fabulous and enthusiastic, and seemed to know pretty much everything! Very impressive, and we'll definitely be looking into more of these tours in other cities on our trip

Great tour! (But it’s free!) - The walking tour was great! But it’s free, look up free walking tours in Merida. Trip advisor charges 60$ per person and the tour guides make maybe ~10$ per tour for this FREE tour. No need to purchase on here, just show up. Spoke to the tour guide and they had no idea trip advisor was charging for these tours.

Fun & informative - Great tour. Fun and informative guide - Mauricio. Two hours was a great amount of time and gave us a good understanding of Yucatan history, culture, and the general area of Merida core.

So much information - So much awesome information our guide had great history information!! I highly recommend this Company. Lasted 21/2 hours I just wish I had booked a different day Monday museums are closed.

My husband and I were the... - My husband and I were the only two on this morning tour. Our guide Max was very knowledgeable and full of information, and we were able to have a lot of interaction with him. My husband knows quite a bit of Mexican history and was able to ask questions as we walked along. In the end Max gave us several restaurant recommendations and also helped me to locate a gallery that I had been looking for.
Max was a fun and friendly guide and we would recommend him highly.

Our guide Max was very... - Our guide Max was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. I only wish we could have gone into Casa Montejo so we wouldn’t have to go back on our own and overall felt the tour was a bit short. But I love history and could hear about it all day, so I think it’s a perfect tour for anyone who wants just a basic overview of Merida’a history. Highly recommend Max as a guide!

This was actually a free... - This was actually a free tour offered by the Tourist Center and we were charged for it. The tour was short and the guide spoke way to fast to understand what she was talking about.
