• Merritt Island - Join our guides for a stunning nighttime journey into the world of Bioluminescence on the Indian River Lagoon. As the sun sets, painting the sky with hues of pink, orange, and blue, our instructors will teach you how to kayak or paddleboard.

We venture to Horseshoe Crab Island to witness the sunset in this paradise. Explore the island with your group, make new friends, and stroll along the sandbar to discover wildlife like horseshoe crabs and bioluminescent comb jellies. Scoop the water in your hands and watch the brilliant stars emerge! Enjoy a brief swim in the bioluminescence and create your own “glow angels.”

Once the sun has set, the bioluminescent magic unfolds. The vibrant colors of bioluminescence are indescribable. Fish illuminate with an ethereal blue glow as they swim beneath your paddleboard or kayak. It’s a truly enchanting experience.

This adventure lasts 2 hours from start to finish, with 1.5 hours guaranteed on the water.

Early Tour: Sunset & Bioluminescence Adventure
As the sun sets, our welcoming guides will take you on an incredible evening journey by clear kayak or paddleboard on the Lagoon. Enjoy a walk in the shallow waters to experience the magic of bioluminescence up close.

Keep an eye out for stingrays and other marine creatures like dolphins and manatees as the sun dips below the horizon.

Once the sun has set, continue paddling into the night, where the water and fish beneath are illuminated by the glow of dinoflagellate bioluminescence.

Later Tour: Bioluminescence & Stargazing
During this tour, the darkness of the night allows the stars to shine brilliantly above, while the bioluminescence glows beneath.

When the dinoflagellate bioluminescence season concludes, the comb jelly bioluminescence season begins! At this time, high-powered, multi-colored LED lighting systems will be provided for your vessel to enhance the glowing experience.
