Merzouga - Day 1: Fez to Merzouga.
The driver will collect the group from the riad at 8:00 a.m. or a convenient location for the minibus. This shared group tour heads to the Merzouga desert. Departing from Fes, the journey to Merzouga traverses the Middle Atlas mountains, passing through the cedar forests of Ifrane (known as the Switzerland of Morocco), Azrou, Midelt, and crossing the Ziz Valley and its gorges en route to the Sahara. Arrival in Merzouga is scheduled before sunset, where participants will ride camels into the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. After an hour of riding, the group will reach the camp, enjoy sandboarding, witness the sunset, have dinner, and experience Berber music.
Overnight stay at the Berber Camp.
Day 2: Merzouga - Fez
Erg Chebbi Dunes - Day 2: Merzouga to Fez.
The day begins with an early wake-up to witness a stunning sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast and a shower. Participants can choose to return to the hotel by camel or Jeep. The journey back to Fes will pass through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas mountains, with a stop in the cedar forests of Azrou to hand-feed the monkeys. The tour continues via Ifrane, the ‘Switzerland of Morocco,’ aiming to reach Fes by early evening.
