The best experience! - Hands down one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had.
I originally booked a motorbike fossil hunting excursion through Sahara Fossils, and after chatting with Mohamed, it quickly became so much more. We added the Wild Desert Camp, and before we knew it, he had helped shape an entire 4-day adventure for us, including some amazing hotel stays.
From the very beginning, Mohamed was exceptional. Anything we needed, he handled immediately and effortlessly. He even invited us to join him for iftar with his mum and extended family, which gave us such a genuine and immersive insight into Moroccan culture, something you simply can’t put a price on.
The Wild Desert Camp was a highlight in itself. Mohamed taught us how to cook traditional Moroccan food over the campfire, and we spent the evening playing cards with him and our camel guide. Sleeping under the stars in the desert felt both peaceful and completely safe it was such a special experience.
The fossil hunting day was equally incredible. Riding motorbikes across the desert added a real sense of adventure, and we found so many fossils that I genuinely wasn’t sure how I’d get them home! Mohamed was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to make sure we were sorted, which really sums up the level of care he gives to his clients.
I can honestly say this was one of the most immersive and memorable trips I’ve ever had. What Mohamed offers is worth far more than what he charges.
We will absolutely be returning and we wouldn’t book with anyone else.

Fossils hunter for a day - The tour was a great experience with Med, he knows a lot of notions and it was funny realizing the dream I had when I was a “little one” (=being Indiana Jones for a day).
We visited two different sites and he arranged all the materials. Furthermore, he fluently speaks english, français, arabic and (a bit) italian. To me, this was a big surprise considering his young age. Managing the transactions through paypal was also much easier for me.

An unforgettable day fossil hunting – Spinosaurus highlight - This tour was a fantastic experience for anyone interested in fossils. Mohamed is a great guide with a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm, and he made the whole day very interesting and enjoyable.
During the search we found several different fossils, including trilobites, goniatites and shark teeth. The highlight for me was finding a tooth of the dinosaur Spinosaurus. It has been my favourite dinosaur since childhood, so I never expected that one day I would actually find a fossil of it myself. That moment was a huge and very pleasant surprise.
Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover fossils and learn more about them in the field.

Great guide, amazing fossils, unforgettable experience - Mohamed was an excellent guide — friendly, very knowledgeable, and clearly very passionate about fossils. His expertise made the whole experience both educational and exciting.
We visited several different locations during the tour. At the first site, we had the chance to see how the extraction process works for some rare and difficult-to-access fossils, such as fossil crinoids.
After that, we went fossil hunting ourselves. We searched for trilobites, goniatites, shark teeth, and even bones and teeth of the dinosaur Spinosaurus. We also found beautiful desert roses. It was amazing to discover our own specimens in the field.
The tour was very well organized from start to finish. We traveled in a 4×4 vehicle, and the driver handled the terrain safely and also helped us during the fossil search. All the necessary equipment was provided, including hammers, shovels, sieves, and protective glasses, as well as water and food.
We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a unique experience and the opportunity to learn something new and fascinating from a true expert.

Experience you never regret - We had a really great day with fossils hunting on the few locations. Mohammed is a very professional guide with perfect knowledge of paleontology. The artefacts we got by our hands are now at home representing one of the greatest experience memory in Morocco.
The tour was very well organized, in timely manner. Equipment provided was safe and proper to the adventure. Transportation was more than comfortable. We had food and water provided during the trip.
This is unique possibility to do something outstanding in the remote location with great view and scenery. Fossils you get by yourself are much more valuable than those you are able to purchase and brings warm memories.

Amazing experience! - Mohamed did an amazing job of teaching us and helping us to find fossils. He was so great with our 4 kids (ages 3, 5, 8, and 10). We all had the best day and learned so much! It was everything we hoped for and more! Thank you, Mohamed!!

Absolutely amazing, a must-do - Absolutely amazing experience fossil hunting with Mohamed. We found a bunch of fossils from shells to trilobites so this was very exciting! He has a lot of experience and knowledge and his driver, too. They were both very kind and we had a lot of fun and also learn a lot. It really is an amazing experience hunting for fossils in the middle of the dessert so if you are coming to Merzouga, this us something you absolutely have to book. Im pretty sure he is also the only one that takes you hunting like this.

Great outcrop experience with THE REAL DUDE - Awesome Experience with Mohamed. He knows many secret outcrops that are full of several kinds of fossils (ammonites, orthoceras, trilobotes and if you are lucky you can find some autoctonous rare organisms). It is a real adventure everyone should try. Beware of scammers around and trust this guy, he knows what to do to make it special! Hope to see you soon Momo 🙏🌈

Nice fossil hunt. - Mohammed is a very nice guy who takes you to a place with a beautiful view to search for your own fossils. Usually there is a guy with lot’s of knowledge about the fossils but unfortunately he was sick. So at some points we missed some information. Besides that, be prepared to put a little work in and find some nice fossils!
