• Summit Craters Itinerary - Starting from Piano Provenzana at 1800 meters above sea level (Etna North), this is the only slope currently offering a safe ascent to the summit. Using special 4x4 vehicles, participants will enjoy the distinctive landscape of Etna as they ascend to 2825 meters above sea level near Piano delle Concazze.

From this point, a two-hour ascent to the main crater rim at an altitude of 3,320 meters above sea level begins. Participants will walk along the edge of the Central Crater, encounter the dramatic Northeast Crater, and admire the renowned Southeast Crater, known for its recent and spectacular eruptions.

• Piano Provenzana - Beyond the expansive summit craters, participants will experience a unique volcanic environment featuring gas emissions, volcanic bombs, and vibrant ground colors resulting from the sublimation of various elements, particularly sulfur.

After visiting the summit, the descent path, characterized by fine volcanic ash and slag, offers a consistently panoramic view of the stunning Sicilian coast. The entire route includes enjoyable breaks where the guide will share insights into the volcano’s history, formation, and unique features.

Upon returning to 2825 meters above sea level, participants will take the 4x4 back to Piano Provenzana, concluding an unforgettable experience in Sicily.
